Although Nate was unable to see the sorrow in Kamara's eyes, he was able to comprehend her pain. He was also aware that he couldn't get her to hold off.

She tried to tell herself, "I will carry on with my life without Caiden and be happy without him. I apologize, Nate, but I have to leave before this story ends."
