VANI'S POV

A knock at the door interrupted our moment, "I will tell you everything later, it's best for dinner time. You need to get change immediately, can't come over to dinner looking like this."

Sylvia's bright eyes met mine, and I could see she cared about me, not just me but my dad too. I thank the moon goddess for this day.

Sylvia walked into the restroom to take her bath while I answered the door. It was Nanny Gladis, my personal nanny!

" The Alpha requires your presence, young mistress!" She announced, wait young mistress? What happened to the mistress?

" Young mistress?" I asked for confirmation.

" Yes, young mistress! The king's order." She bowed before taking her live

" Now I understand, my dad actually ordered her to call me a young mistress,that's unfair."

She stammered and spoke with a tremble. She admitted, her body quivering with fear, "I'm sorry." "I don't have anything to put on though...."

What I heard almost caused my eyes to jump out of their sockets. My mouth parted, but I quickly closed it again when nothing came out.

" You're in a castle darling, this is your room and it consist of a lot of outfit!" I said bringing out a lemon dress from her wardrobe.

" Wow! It's beautiful." She exclaimed.

" I know, I know!"

Sylvia pretended to be touched or maybe she didn't, "I have never been treated with so much care in my entire life, I don't know how to repay you all for this.," She said, as tears streamed down her cheeks. It was required of me. I've lived my entire life hiding in the slums, protecting myself from the attack of rogues or higher wolves. Here I am, Luna!"

I smiled, the moon goddess changed your story, here, I said, handing the dress over to her.

"It's pretty. Thank you Vani, She murmured, "This whole thing, I would forever be indebted to you and your dad." "Can you please help me with the dress?"

"I would be delighted of course. Up?" I inquired, she nodded. " And up it goes!"

"That's perfect, let's go. We can't keep your dad waiting.," Sylvia said in a convincing voice.

I turned to face her quickly and said, " That's true, my father is everything, but not patient."

We went out of her bedroom heading to the family throne room.

He clings to his cup with a fork, giving the guards a signal to leave." Here are my two gorgeous princesses," Alpha Derrick said as we took our seats. Sylvia took the seat close to dad while I sat beside her.

When my dad clapped, a group of ladies in pink came over to serve dinner. They had their eyes fixed on Sylvia, they are obviously the newly recruited maids.

"Leave!," he ordered."So, tell me my dear Vani about your new mom!" His gaze stayed on her for a moment before flitting across the room to look at me. "I believed you must have bothered her with your times of endless conversations."

" A dinner without me? That's new!" Hailey came in not announced, sitting at the other side.

" I have been excluded? Really Alpha Derrick? I know this guest might be so important to you, I'm still a family!" She said, pouting her lips.

" I apologize, I got so famished. I could barely remember anyone. " My dad said, it's obvious he's lying. He Is slowly forgetting about her, all thanks to Sylvia.

" How are you studying Vani? Heard your dad had to teach your lecturer an unnecessary lesson because of your silly mistake again." She said, rolling her eyes.

Does she call that unnecessary? A lecturer touched my butt and I had to hit him with my fist, breaking his nose a bit though.

" You always see my business as a pinch of salt. I'm glad I have a new friend who is ready to stand by me!" I said, glaring at Sylvia. She hasn't said a word since we arrived. I can tell she is avoiding Hailey the best way she can.

" You don't have to pick a fight with your father's Beta Vani, that's wrong!" Sylvia finally said for the first time.

" Alright, I won't! Since you think that's wrong, then it's fine!" I simply replied, leaving Hailey in shock.

" How dare you? Don't you dare listen to anyone Vani! " She stormed angrily.

" Can I please have a peaceful dinner?" My dad yelled, cutting her off. I hid a smirk at the corner of my lips.

The rest of the meal was quiet, Hailey won't stop staring at Sylvia, if she could probably make her vanish, she would have done so.

" How long is your guest going to stay Derrick?" I heard her ask Dad, after we were done with our meal.

" Forever!" I replied flipping my hair in an obvious manner.

" I don't expect this from you Hailey, you should treat our guest with respect not this. You can start by showing her around the castle walls!" My dad scolded me .

" I apologize Alpha. Please come with me!" She headed to the door while Sylvia followed.

" Do you think they can get along?" He asked.

" It's 16 years already and I still can't get along with her.... That's impossible!" I scoffed while walking away.

" Sixteen? I thought you were twelve!" He yelled, his voice echoing in the castle.

SYLVIA POV

We headed to a balcony, where we could have a little of the city.

" It's beautiful!" I was complimented.

" I know, why does she like you? Who the hell are you? And why does the king treat you separately from everyone else?" She asked curiously. Such a lousy bitch, why don't she just ask Alpha herself.

" This is a four storey building dear. " She smirked. What does she mean by a four storey building, is she trying to push me down the Cliff.

" I want you to quietly leave the pack without uttering a word, I mean ever since you came. They all started acting up!" She yelled angrily.

" I'm going nowhere." I smirked.

“ She pushed Me”! Aaaahhhhh!!!

My throat constricted, depriving me of oxygen. My broken bones was the last sound I heard, My eyes followed suit, latching and basking in the throes of darkness with her blue eyes, that was the last thing I saw….
