Chapter Thirty Five

Kate stood up and moved toward Dennis. He was in a fit of rage and was pacing back and forth. Sweats were already lined up on his forehead.

"Peter made us a promise. You know Peter. He doesn't break his promises easily." Kate tried to console Dennis. "Kelsey will be fine," she added.

Dennis stood still. "What if he gets distracted? Or what if he gets drunk? Who is going to watch over Kelsey?" Dennis fired. Both his hands were on his waist. "You guys shouldn't have let her go out in the first place?"

"Peter knows how much you care about Kelsey so trust me, son, he'll do anything he can to keep her safe," Ben said. He tried to hold Dennis but the troubled Dennis drifted backwards.

"Dad the problem might not be Peter. I know how Kelsey can get sometimes. She can be overexcited, very naive and sometimes a hot head. What if she gets so hyper and ends up doing what she's not supposed to?" Dennis pointed out.

"I just hope nothing goes wrong," replied Kate.
