Chapter Thirty Four

When Peter and Kelsey returned home from school that evening, Peter told his parents about Bryan's birthday party, stating that Kelsey was invited.

At first, Kate and Ben objected stressing that the event might be dangerous since it was held at night. They also said that Dennis might not agree with the idea.

Peter convinced them that it was unnecessary to tell Dennis about it, claiming that his elder brother was such a bore and Kelsey was looking forward to it.

They asked Kelsey about it and she shared her interest with them. Ben and Kate finally gave their approval after Peter promised to take care of Kelsey at the party.

On the day of Bryan's birthday, Kelsey picked out a short maxi dress. The event was slated for 7 pm. She adorned her hair with colourful ribbons and wore flexible sandals. She applied a little make-up and at 6: 30 pm, she and Peter were ready to leave the house.
