Chapter Seventeen

The day of the mating announcement came quite too fast for Kesley, she woke up with dread for how the announcement ceremony would go.

She had just had lunch which Alpha Dennis prepared like he said and was now sitting alone in the living room with a book she found in one of the rooms in her hand.

Kesley stared at the book in her hands but not a single word of it made sense. In fact, the letters seemed so jumbled and blurred that she just had to close it and focus on the dread she'd been trying to push back on her mind.

The fear of how the people would react to her being their Luna was heavy on her mind. Although it was all a pretense, only herself and the Alpha knows about it she knew she would have to act like she really is the pack's Luna.
