7. Mate? Where?

Kaden pov

" Hey we are going out for lunch come join us. We are waiting for you outside the apartment." James texted me.

I Looked out the window and saw two black sports cars were packed outside.

It's been a week since we came   here and I have tried to look for Kaira but no such luck

"Okay.." I texted back leaving the apartment and went to one of the cars.

Both couples sat in one car while I sat in the one were Dean was. Once I got in Dean drove off

After about twenty minutes, we arrived at a cafe. it looked very nice and welcoming.

We sat on the booth near the window. The temperature was warm in the London cold weather. It made me feel right at home. Everyone In the cafe was looking at us.

" wow they are so hot." One of the girls said and I couldn't help but smirk. While Dean looked like he was having a good time.

"did those guys jump out of a vogue magazine." another on said.

 Werewolves were known to be very good looking compared to regular humans. Since we constantly trained and well goddess blessed us with good looks.

They had no idea we could hear them with our werewolf hearing.

Cree and Alicia held on to their mates possesively.

After we sat down. A girl About twenty one of age with blonde hair came. she had a friendly smile.

" hi I  am Alison your waiter for the day. Here is your menu." She handed us the menu.

I Looked at it and ordered a medium sized bugger with fries and a soda.

While my friends order an extra large pepperoni pizza with Pepsi. 

Shortly after the food came and we began eating.

Then an intoxicating smell hit me.

Mate my wolf howled in my head. I Looked around but couldn't find the owner of the scent.

 It was a mixture of roses and lilacs with a hint of chocolates and freshly baked pancakes.

" Hey what's wrong?" Cree asked.

" It's nothing I just feel like my mate is near." I said while my eyes kept wondering trying to find her.

Alison the waiter from before came to give us the bill and I Smelt something different about her. 

At first when she came there was nothing special about her scent but now it was just like my mates.

I locked eyes with her to see if she was my mate but Nop.

There was nothing.

I just shrugged it off and paid the bill.

After that. We went back to the apartment to get ready for the fresher's party.

I had no idea their was a party until my friends filled me in when we pulled into the apartment's packing lot.

It was four p.m and the party was going to start at  seven so the girls had time to get ready or so I thought.

Two hours later the girls were no where near being done they had only done one think in the last two hours and that is to take a bath.

And I quote "a girl needs two hours of cleaning up if she is going to a party." Their words not mine.

It was seven p.m us guys had gotten ready and was waiting for the girls who were still painting their faces. Girls and make up pshh.

After thirty minutes they were done and we headed down to the club were the party was being held.

It was a combination of high school graduates and university freshers.

We entered the club and again the intoxicating smell hit me.

Maybe it's because I have been thinking about my mate that I felt her every where.

I was sitting at the bar counter and glance at the dance floor where I saw a girl with Redish hair dancing.  I went to the dance floor so I can clearly see her face.

" Hey handsome wanna dance." A female voice distracted me.

" No thank you." I said to her and looked back to find the red haired girl gone.

Shit. I mumbled to myself and went back to the counter drinking some more.

After I felt like I had enough, I told Dean and we went outside to get away from here and head back to the apartment.

An ambulance was packed outside.

"What's going on?" I asked.

"I don't know let's find out.." Dean said and we both went closer asking what happened and was informed that a girl fainted and was being taken to the hospital.

Me and Dean proceeded to the car both lost in our own world's me thinking about the girl. 

 I don't know why I felt like I should see that girl who  fainted. Something was pulling me towards her but I shrugged it off thinking that it was due to the drinks I had.

After we reached the apartment, I went straight to my room then fell on my bed too tired to even change my clothes. Before I knew it, I was out like a lamp.

***kaira pov***

"Beep Beep Beep.." I could hear a beeping sound but couldn't open my eyes. Someone was crying in the back ground and I could tell it was mom

'What's going on why is she crying?' I tried to open my eyes but they felt heavy.

"How long does she have left?" I head a voice ask and I Immediately recognised it dad!

" she won't be able to live passed 18years old unless you find the best doctors to treat her," A guy said.

" do you know any best doctors?" Dad asked while I was trying so hard to open my eyes.

"Yes doctor Jin she is Chinese but resides in America. You can contact her although it's really hard to get a hold of her and the fees are just a little higher..."

"Like how much?" I heard Ally asked

"20 thousand pounds. Am sorry but you need to arrange the money soon for her betterment in the mean time I will prescribe some pills to help her with.."

'What are they talking about?' I asked myself

I forced my eyes to open only to see a bunch of machines hooked on me.

" aah." I groaned, Why does my head hurt so much.

" Hey." Ally said helping me sit up while I said a small thank you.

" What's going on, why is Mom crying?"

" You are kinder at the hospital." Nic said with teary eyes.

" hospital I thought we were at the party.?" 

" You fainted so we brought you here."

" Ohh. "

" Yeah. "

" Why do you all look sad. Is something wrong?" I asked everyone.

" how long have you being feeling dizzy?" The doctor asked.

" Only for a few weeks. Is there something wrong with me doc.?" I asked.

" I'm sorry to inform you this but you have a blood clot in your heart and needs operation as soon as possible or your heart will be completely damaged and will need a heart transplant.." The doctor said and left the room.

" I have heart problem blood clot? Heart transplant" I asked no one in particular.

" I will try getting a loan from work or figure something out ." Dad said pacing around.

"It's too much money how will we manage I don't think they can offer you that much money what are we going to do?" mom said in desperation

"I can get an extra job and Nico will have to put a hold on his studies.." Alison added

"Nico's school is based on a sports scholarship Ally.."

Mom sighed

"Look don't panic we will figure it out okay.." Dad said trying to make mom calm down

"How can I calm down you heard the doctor we need to find the money in a month how are we going to do that.." mom said exasperated while I looked on.

I won't be able to live passed 18 years. That's just ridiculous 

" hahaha." I burst out laughing startling everyone.

" this is a joke right?" I asked. My eyes fixed on Nico he was the prankster in the family

" No princess it's not." Mom said with teary eyes.

" Come on Mom did Nico make up this prank and told you all to play along because If he did I won't spare him." I said glaring at Nico.

" No ira it's not a prank I promise I didn't tell them this. You truly are sick." Nico said and Ally began crying.

" I am soo sorry ira." She said hugging me.

" is it really true dad?" I asked numbly looking at dad.

I observed everyone closely and they looked disshelved.

Is it really true that I am dying. Wait I haven't even gotten married yet. I haven't even met Kaden again and they have to find money in a month's time?

" Yes it's true princess I am sorry there is nothing we can do." He said.

I stare blankly as Their words registered in my brain.

And a single tear escaped my eyes. How can it all come to an end like this

How can my life come to an end this easily. Why me?

" Don't worry it will all be okay. I promise we will get through this. We will try to find a donor for you and---" Ally began but I cut her off

" how is it going to be okay Ally. I am going to die soon. I am leaving behind all my dreams and goals because now they are useless and I will never be able to live them. Why is this happening to me. Why me?" I cried hugging her tightly.

I never thought that my life would be like this. I am only Sixteen I always wanted to go round the world study hard and have a family of my own.

Three years ago my life changed I got accepted into a beautiful family but now. I am going to die and leave them behind too. This is so messed up. Can't I just be happy for once?

I don't know how long I cried. But it hurt. Hurt that I won't be able to see Kade again.

Hurt that they won and I lost. Hurt that my dreams are shattered. Hurt that my life had been nothing but pain.

I wish I had killed myself that day maybe I could never have been attached to them like this and maybe they could never suffer to see me gone.

It hurts so much. I cried and soon I fell asleep.

After a few hours I woke up feeling exhausted.

"Good morning." Lucy said.

" Morning Lucy." I said sitting up looking around, mom and dad weren't in the room and Ally was sleeping on the couch next to Nico

" I heard what happened Kaira and I am really sorry." She said crying

" It's okay Lucy no need of crying. Save the tears for when I die okay..." I said in a cold tone. I was fed up with this heart thing and it was hurting me so much.

She stop crying and looked at me with hurt in her eyes.

I sighed.
