9. Party

" what is wrong....." I didn't even finish my sentence as a bucket of muddy cold water was poured on my head.

" NICO!!!." I screamed and feathers came raining down on me.

" HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAIRA.!" He shouted and drove of leaving me behind.

I was so upset I didn't expect him to do this on my special day.

I was actually turning seventeen today which was also a Saturday.  Day for the fresher's bash

At least it wasn't a school day other wise I would have eaten him alive.

I went to the back yard and washed off the dirt with a hoarse pipe before going inside the house to take a real shower and dress up

" Hey Kai I heard you screaming what....woah what happened to you." Ally asked inspecting me.

" NICO HAPPENED TO ME.!" I said angrily and went straight to the bathroom.

I washed my hair and body until all the dirt had come off then wore a floral simple dress with flip flops and went to the kitchen to get breakfast.

" SURPRISE.!" my family yelled while roses rained down on me. At least this time it wasn't muddy water.

" awww you guys remembered." I said with teary eyes.

" how can we forget our princess' birthday." Dad said.

" here come sit down and make a wish."

I sat down and wished all the happiness for my family and also that I should atleast get to meet Kade before I die then blow the candle.

The surprise made me forget about all the anger I had for Nico.

" here it's a gift from all of us. Hope you like it."  Ally said handing me a box.

I opened it to reveal our family photo. The picture we took when they first took me out for ice-cream then taught me how to ride a bike.

There was also another box which had a beautiful locket. I opened it to reveal a picture we took on my and Nico's graduation day.

" Aww this is so cute thanks you guys." I said with teary eyes.

" I am glad you like it." Ally said and gave me a side hug.

We ate the cake and I went back to my room.

I placed the photo were it could be seen and wore the locket vowing to never take it off unless when taking a shower of course.

The party was starting at seven p.m so I had three hours to get ready just enough time except for the part were I didn't have anything to wear.

I went into my closet and started throwing out my clothes.

Ally wasn't home and Lucy was way too far away to come over and help me. And Stella well she was busy. At least that's what she told me.

Now I was all alone without anyone to help me.

" Kaira I am home." Ally shouted from the front door.

Thank goodness

" finally you are back I have been waiting for you." I said joyously

" Why why do you.... what's going on and why are all your clothes on the floor.?" She asked me

" Well you see the party is in three hours time and I don't know what to wear." She sighed.

" just go take a shower and I will help you out."

" Aww thank you thank you thank you I love you." I said kissing her cheeks.

" is it me you love or the help I am giving you."

" I love both." I said running into the bathroom.

After I was done showering I went back into my room to find all my clothes had been packed nicely and a beautiful backless red dress with strips laying on the bed.

 I didn't know I had such a dress.

" Good you are done come sit here." Ally said motioning to the chair that was near the vanity table.

I sat down and she started twisting and turning my hair after two hours she was done.

"You can look now." She said.

I opened my eyes and gasped.

My hair looked amazing it was nicely curled and placed in a neat bun with loose strands on either side of my face.

My make up was a smokey eye shadow, blush and red lipstick. I Looked really different much prettier than I did.

" wow is this me." I asked ally. The dress fits me perfectly with the matching heels I looked gorgeous.

" No it's your twin sister." Ally said sarcastically and I laughed.

" Thank you ally." I said hugging her

" You are welcome. Now go Nico and sweet Keiran are waiting for you.." She teasingly while I blushed making her giggle

"Bye.." I grabbed my purse and went outside to them.

"Wow.." Keiran was the first to say as he eyed me with his jaw on the floor, "You look amazing love.." he said extending his hand while I shyly said a thank you grabbing his hand.

"Come on love birds let's go! looking hot sis by the way.." Nicole said as we went outside.

I got into Keiran's car while Nicole got into his, driving off to the venue and I was so excited.

 I remembered to drink my Meds on time so that what happened last time would not happen again.

** Kaden pov**

Since this morning my wolf has been on edge. He keeps on pacing up and down in my head.

"Please stop you are making me have a headache." I told my wolf who seemed to ignore me.

" Kaden are you okay? You don't look so good.." Dean said as he eyed me.

" It's my wolf he keeps on pacing around my head giving me a headache."

" Well have you asked him what's wrong?"

" Yes but he is ignoring me." I said and sat down on the kitchen counter.

It was ten in  the morning and I was super sleepy and tired. Me and the guys stayed up late last night in a video call meeting with my dad, uncle and some other business partners since very soon we will be graduating. They were filling us in on the pack duties and business. Apparently they  want me and Dean to take over mate or not since we both will be turning 21 in a few months time. Both Dean and I were sailing in the same boat the mateless boat.

The meeting had to take place at night on our part due to the difference in time zones. It's a good thing it's Saturday no class

" Come on Alex tell me what's wrong." I asked my wolf while rubbing my forehead. " if you won't stop pacing around I swear you will kill me with headache."

"I don't know but I feel like something big is going to happen." Alex said in a confused tone.

" since you don't know what it is please calm down or else we won't be able to go to the party."

"I know." He said and went quite finally.

I glanced at the time and it was almost 11 guess Amma fix me self some brunch

I made myself some grilled cheese with garlic bread and roasted chicken.l wish I could meet my mate today and maybe take her out to dinner on a date. I would give her all the love she deserves and never let her out of my sight.

It was almost time for the party.

I went into my room freshened up, wore a black tux and comb my hair and made it messy but stylish.

I went down stairs to find the guys still waiting for their mates who were late as always while Dean was busy on his phone.

After about ten minutes. They were finally done and we went to the party.

The music was blasting really loudly and my heart started pounding in my chest then I Smelt it, a mixture of roses and lilacs with a hint of chocolates and freshly baked pancakes. My mates scent...

"Mate! mate." My wolf howled in my head as I frantically started looking for her.

" Hey." Dean said eyeing me.

"My mate she is here." I said looking for her. I felt like I was going crazy her scent was driving me crazy I just wanted to find her and mark her.

I step onto the dance floor and bumped into someone.

" sorry I...." turned around then locked eyes with the most beautiful creature in the world.

The red haired beauty She was dancing with a guy but as soon as she saw me she stopped. Her eyes locked with mine and I knew it was her.

But there was something oddly familiar about her.

I Smelt her and she wasn't a wolf. So then how did she notice me?

She was standing right in front of me with only 5 inches apart.

Her perfect round face had a little bit of make up. She looked so perfect with those pouty lips of hers and a little chubby cheeks. She looked adorable.

She kept on observing me while I did with her.

She had perfectly tanned skin and her hazel eyes were boring into mine. Then they sparkled and so did mine.

" Kaira. "

" Kaden ." We said at the same time.

"Oh my gosh it's you." She said giving me a hug.

I was surprised at first and staggered back but then I recomposed myself and hugged her back.

" I missed you so much I never thought I would see you again." Kaira said.
