Renzo POV: She got out of the car and rapidly clasped her mothers hand. Her long red hair was blown by the wind, and while her parents talked to mine, she stared at me. It took me some moments to avert my eyes from that mesmerizing hair that seemed to be ablazed under the strong sun rays. But when I did, my mouth went almost agape when I saw her big gorgeous eyes. They were framed by perfect arched eyebrows and thick long lashes and... their color. I've never seen eyes like that before. One was Emerald green, and the other was half brown and half green. I knew I had read about that eye condition, but witnessing firsthand was something else. My mom, Luna Helen, gently touched my shoulder. "Why don't you go and show Saoirse around honey while your dad and I show Healer Colin and Healer Aela their new home and the hospital?" I nodded, and I stretched my hand to the little girl. Her porcelain white skin was all pinkish by the sun. She grabbed my hand with her delicate one and smiled at me. My heart skept, and I smiled back at her. "I'm Renzo. Would you like to see the lake and the school Saoirse?" She nodded happily and skept ahead of me towards the buildings. Mom told us to be back in an hour for lunch. The hour went by so fast. People kept staring at her mostly because of her hair. it had all shades of red the way you find it on a live flame. "Do you like the Pack Saoirse?" She looked at me with uncertainty, but she said cheerfully "Is beautiful. The forest surrounding it is huge, and the lake is amazing. I want to swim in it one day. Do you know I can swim? I learned that back at home when..." She trailed a bit. She looked nostalgic when talking about her home, the one she had to leave behind. "Is okay to miss home and your friends. You will make more here. You can count me as your friend from now on." I said to her, and she beamed. "But promise me you'll never go on your own to the lake or the forest. Not even when you get your wolf." My father had very tight security around the pack's perimeter, but rogues sometimes venture too close for our liking. "Come on, they must be waiting for us to eat." Saoirse POV: Renzo is so nice to me, and he says he is my friend. I was sad for leaving my best friend Deirdre back home. But during this short time, he has managed to lift my spirits, and I know I will love it here. He has this mega watt smile that fills me with reassurance. His eyes are light brown with green and blue speckles. He is taller than me by a lot, and his black hair looks unruly but in a cute way. The diner room ot the mansion was huge and elegant. We washed our hands, and when we entered the room, everyone was sitting already. There was Beta Max and his mate Lottie. Their son Shane was next to them. I know their names because Beta Shane was proudly talking about him to my parents on our way from the airport. Alpha Lorenzo was at the head of the table. He was huge and had the same olive skin as Renzo. At his left was Luna Helen. She looked so refined and pretty. Her brown hair was fixed in an elegant up do. Her warm blue eyes lighted up when she saw us. Renzo sat at his father's right, and I went and sat next to my mother. Luna Helen spoke then. "You're just in time my dears. I hope you like it here Saoirse. Soon you'll make lots of friends. This is Shane, our Beta couple's son and soon to be, Beta himself, when Renzo becomes Alpha." Shane looked at me and blushed at the introduction. "Nice to meet you, Saoirse." "Nice to meet you, Shane." I turned to look at Renzo, but he didn't look happy. He was probably hungry already. The helpers started busying themselves serving us the food while the adults talked with my parents. Well, my Dad answered all of the questions. Mom was always quiet around people. Dad would throw fits of jelousy whenever mom talked to other men, no matter who. She was petite and very pretty. with dark redhead and green eyes. My dad was blond and somehow, my redhair became a mix of both. Dad promised her he would be different here. He was the one to apply for transfer. He was madly jealous of one of the doctors in our pack. My mom can't help being so pretty that men stare and want to talk to her. When I grow up I don't want a jealous and possessive boyfriend.
