Renzo’s POV

To say my little Saoirse was blooming into a beautiful woman would be an understatement. That girl was touched by the Goddess herself. At her age, most girls had to worry about pimples or braces and shy, tight-lipped smiles. But Saoirse? She was perfect. One day, she would be my mate—I knew it as surely as I knew my own name.

Tomorrow would be her fourteenth birthday, the age when most teenagers gain their wolves. I still remember the day I got mine, four years ago. Saoirse had loved him instantly.

---

Four Years Ago

Saoirse had been in awe of Blaze from the moment she saw him. He was a massive silver wolf, his coat shimmering with a faint blue sheen. He stood proudly while she buried her small hands in his fur, her eyes glowing with wonder.

“You’re beautiful, Blaze,” she whispered. “You and Renzo will be the best Alphas in the world when Alpha Lorenzo passes the title to you.”

From that day on, we were inseparable. I carried her through the forest on my back while she clung to my neck, laughing as the wind whipped through her hair. She did her homework by the lake and napped with Blaze curled protectively around her. With her parents always busy at the hospital, she spent most of her time with me—and our families encouraged it. After all, I was the future Alpha, and her parents were gifted healers. Together, we would make a powerful pair.

---

“Hey, Renzo.” Shane’s voice pulled me out of my thoughts as I headed to pick Saoirse up from school.

“Everything okay, Shane?”

“Not really.” He rubbed the back of his neck, looking uncomfortable.

“What’s the problem?”

“Renzo, you're leaving for Alpha training the day after tomorrow, and you haven’t even packed. I told you last week about the gathering tonight—unmated wolves from the neighboring pack. And here you are, babysitting again. Don’t you think it’s time you put the Pack’s interests first instead of hers?”

My vision went red. “Fuck you, Shane! An Alpha is nothing without his Luna. Saoirse is my mate—or she will be, one day. Don’t forget that. I’m spending as much time with her as I can before I leave for two years. I don’t give a damn about your gathering. She’s the only one for me, and I don’t need a crowded hall to tell me that.”

“You’re stubborn,” Shane muttered. “Obsessed. That doesn’t mean she’s your fated mate. I get it—she’s gorgeous, but—”

I had him pinned against a tree before I even realized I’d moved. My claws pressed into his shirt, my eyes blazing.

“You dare comment on her looks? Do you make a habit of checking out what’s mine?” I snarled.

“What the hell, Renzo! That’s not what I meant!” His voice rasped under my grip. “Look at you—you lose control over a simple comment. Even if she is your fated mate, your wolves haven’t recognized each other yet. That bond hasn’t snapped into place. Right now, this is obsession, not the mate bond.”

I released him and stepped back, forcing air into my lungs. Shane was my best friend and future Beta—my voice of reason more times than I could count. But never when it came to her. Never with Saoirse. She was the storm in my head and the calm in my chest, the fire and the peace. I needed her. Two years away from her would be hell.

“She’s mine,” I said flatly. “Fated or not, bond or not. As my Beta, your job is to support me and protect this Pack. Remember that. She is my sanity. My peace. Don’t ever question it again.”

Shane straightened his shirt, shaking his head. “For all our sakes, Renzo, I hope she truly is your fated mate.”

I ignored him and walked away.

---

I felt her before I saw her. When I turned, there she was, walking toward me, sunlight dancing over her. My smile came without thought. She wore a white summer dress that brushed her knees and little cowboy boots. Her hair, wild and alive, looked like fire itself.

In a heartbeat, I was at her side. I grabbed her by the waist and spun her around. Her laughter rang through the air—music, pure and sweet. When I set her down, she ran her palms over my chest and abs, and I almost groaned aloud. It was getting harder and harder not to kiss her breathless, not to ruin her innocence before it was time. Alpha training couldn’t have come at a better moment.

She would be sixteen when I returned. Old enough for us to start dating. And when she turned eighteen, I would announce her as my Luna, mate her, and mark her. Fated bond or not, she was mine. The only thing I prayed for was that her wolf would be strong—strong enough that the elders couldn’t object. Not that I’d care if they did.

“I’m sorry I was late, little one,” I murmured.

She sighed, her chest rising, and I fought the urge to lose control right there. She loved it when I called her that.

“It’s fine,” she said softly. “I know you get busy sometimes. You’re leaving for Alpha training soon anyway. I’m just glad you’ll still be here to meet my wolf before you go.”

Her mismatched eyes shimmered with unshed tears. My chest cracked at the sight. I cupped her face in my hands, pressing a kiss to her forehead, then the tip of her nose.

“Don’t be sad, little one. We’ll email all the time. Once you get your wolf, you’ll start training. Before long, you’ll be Luna of this Pack. The time will fly by.”

I said it for her, but it was as much for myself. Two years without her was going to shred me.

Her voice was small, but it lit a fire through me. “You’ll make me Luna?”

Saoirse’s POV The conversation with Renzo had been necessary. There was no denying the truth—we would always love each other, in some quiet, unspoken way. Too much bound us together: years of tangled history, memories always being side by side, and Selene. Our daughter was a living reminder of what once existed between us. But as I lifted my eyes and saw Blaze walking toward me with little Luna bouncing at his side, my heartbeat quickened and my lips curved into a smile that only he could draw from me. Renzo and I would always share a tie, but my love for Blaze was absolute, all-consuming, leaving no room for doubt. I chuckled softly when I heard Blaze arguing with the girls, their voices high and insistent about ice cream. Luna’s dramatic stomps echoed across the garden, and Selene’s silver hair bobbed as she tugged at Blaze’s leg. She had woken. Up as soon as she heard him. He handled their chaos with his usual blend of patience and mock sternness. It wasn’t until Renzo whisked

Renzo’s POV The birth of my son, Enzo, was a joyous occasion for the Moonshadow Pack. Aza was incredible throughout the labor, her strength shining through every moment. I never stopped holding her hand or whispering my love, though I silently promised this would be her last pup. I couldn’t bear the thought of her suffering like that again. Saoirse and Dido assisted her through the delivery, and their presence was steady and sure. I couldn’t deny that seeing Saoirse waddle about with her enormous belly stirred strange emotions in me—joy for her, pride in how far she had come, but also something more dangerous that I forced deep down. I kissed Aza’s temple as she drifted off, exhausted but glowing. Little Enzo was latched onto her breast, nursing fiercely, and I reached out to steady him. “She is all healed now. She needs to sleep to regain her strength,” Saoirse said softly, her voice smooth and low. That voice… gods, it always slid under my skin, reminding me of things I shoul

Blaze’s POV --- A Few Months Later “When I find my mate, I’ll have a grand wedding like Aunty Dido,” Selene announced confidently, standing on her tiptoes as though making herself taller gave her authority. “My wedding will be even more spectacular than yours!” Luna countered, her little hands on her hips. They had picked up those extravagant phrases from Elda—there was no doubt about it. I laughed under my breath, shaking my head. “I’m sorry to break it to you, girls, but you won’t get married until you’re at least thirty.” They gasped dramatically, clutching their tiny hands to their cheeks in horror. The look on their faces nearly made me choke on my laugh. Before I could tease them further, Saoirse whispered through my mind, brushing over the bond like a feather-light caress. Blaze. Even though she barely whispered, her call carried to me, threaded with the urgency of her power. Instantly, I wanted to drop everything and run to her. “Okay, little ladies, your mama is callin

Azalea’s POV I woke in Renzo’s arms, his warmth anchoring me to the bed as if the world outside did not exist. My eyes flicked to the clock on the bedside table—oh no. We were late. Renzo’s sister was getting married in just a few hours, and instead of being up and about, here we were, tangled in sheets and each other. I shifted slightly, only to feel his morning arousal pressing insistently against my thigh. “Renzo,” I whispered, brushing his jaw, “we’re late. Your sister is waiting for us.” He only grunted in response, his hand snaking around my waist to pull me closer. His lips grazed my mate mark, sending a wave of sparks coursing through my body. My resolve to push him away melted instantly. It went without saying what happened next—my mate was relentless, passionate, and utterly consuming. I bit my lip to stop the moans from spilling out, my body arching as he took me with a hunger that made the world outside irrelevant. When he finally carried me into the bathroom, both of

  • The Alpha's Obsession   71. Together At Last

Saoirse’s POV The scream tore from my throat before I even realized it, raw and guttural, echoing through the night. Grandma Maeve lay on the forest floor, blood pooling beneath her white robes, her unsettling smile an eerie contrast to the horror unraveling before my eyes. I couldn’t look away. Every fiber of me screamed to run to her, but at the same time, my gaze darted to Vlad. His form was already faltering. My children—Aksel and Liv—stood with arms outstretched, their energy concentrated into a blinding beam of pure light that pierced through Vlad’s back and chest. He staggered, dark smoke pouring from his wounds. His shrieks clawed at the night air. Dido had Selene and Luna shielded behind her, her stance solid, and Pietr positioned himself between them and danger, his blade raised. Relief and anguish warred inside me. “He’s dying,” Renzo said, satisfaction rolling off his voice. He wasn’t wrong—Vlad’s obsidian eyes were emptying, his movements sluggish, his body trembling a

  • The Alpha's Obsession   70. My girls

Blaze’s POV The night roared with chaos. Fire devoured the mansion's west wing, its flames clawing toward the heavens like a beast unleashed. The air was thick with smoke, screams, and the frantic shuffle of dozens of feet as witches and wolves rushed to control the inferno. My chest heaved, each breath cut with smoke, and my heart hammered as I scanned the crowd. Saoirse stood like a beacon amid the madness. Her white aura glowed faintly as she chanted with the other witches, their voices weaving together in a desperate incantation to smother the flames. Her hair whipped wildly around her, and her eyes were sharp with focus and resolve. She was breathtaking, yet even her presence couldn’t ease the sick dread clawing at my insides. Then, through the firelight, Azalia appeared, her gown torn, hair wild, one arm clutching a trembling Ireland. Behind her stumbled Andrew and Layla with their children, Leah and Brandon, followed by Shane and Hanna with theirs. Relief flickered briefly in
