Aria POV

The two of us weren’t a good match to fight together. I was so tiny, fragile and knew absolutely nothing about fighting while Marcus was well built, tall and experienced. The only edge I had was the new power that no one knew about and the fact that he didn’t possess any. He stood in front of me with a proud smirk and we stared at each other for a few seconds. Suddenly he ran towards me and in a blink of an eye, he raised his hand and slapped me across my face. I fell onto the ground dizzy, my head throbbed uncontrollably and my ears buzzed.

“Is this the Alpha you want? She can’t even stand a slap across the face” Marcus said to the crowd.

It took me a few seconds to stand up again. I didn’t even say anything, I just looked at him and smirked. He was taken back and without hesitation, he hit my left side with his right foot. The hit was so hard that I thought my ribs cracked. That one hurt more than the earlier. I stood up again and gave him the same mocking smile. I wanted

Aria povThe witch was completely scared out of her wits and barely kept herself together. She looked at King Henry and calmed down a little before speaking:“Ma… Marcus always wanted to be an alpha and he knew that he could never win against alpha Morris. He pushed his son towards Aria so once she was alpha, his son would be alpha instead of her” She looked at me and I felt a pain in my chest. Nick told me before that I could abdicate the title in his favor and because I was stupidly in love with him I agreed to it.“Since he couldn’t wait for it, he planned Alpha Morris’s death and made sure to leave no witnesses. Then he brought Aria to me unconscious and told me to wipe her memory about the murder”She glanced at me again and I could feel the raging fire inside me aching to come out.“He … He even convinced her uncle to keep the truth from her to spare her the agony and pain which he agreed to out of his good heart and they announced to everyone that it was an accident”Despite a

Klaus POVEver since that night, I became constantly worried about Aria. The reason wasn’t even because Nick was on the run and could try to kill her any time. No, it was Aria herself. The look in her eyes when Marcus burst into flames. It scared me. She was losing herself to the dark side in her and I couldn’t let that happen. I might need to do something about it. Finally she was back home. She nearly healed, just needed to rest for a few more days.I was putting her to bed when Tory mindlinked me: “Alpha, we’ve a problem”I put on a poker face in front of Aria and replied back: “What is it?”“Nick’s last trail ended at the Holy Ruins”I pressed my lips together thinking carefully. He was hiding in the forest. He knew that I would think twice before sending anyone after him there. I stared into nothing. He was smarter than I thought.“Klaus” Aria called my name a few times before I turned to her.“Hm?”“Are you okay?” she asked“Yes, I’ll get you something to eat” I said and walked

Aria POVI screamed like a teenage girl in a concert for Justin Bieber. I couldn’t believe my eyes. He built an indoor private pool. It had a waterfall on one side and a skylight dome that made it seem exceptional as the moon cascaded its lights in. With the dress on, I immediately jumped in.“WOOOW” I screamed out loud letting the water carry me and my voice echoed through the walls. I dived down and when I came back up, I saw Klaus standing, leaning on the door frame with a drink in hand: “I see you found the pool” he had a wicked smile on his face.“What?” I asked as I brushed my hair back. He raised an eyebrow, put the drink down on the floor and walked to the edge of the pool saying: “I remember the last time we were in a pool together”I knotted my brows and remembered the embarrassing moment I threw myself at him after I saw Marie’s mark on her neck. I smiled shyly and heard him say: “You asked me something at the time”He took off his shirt and pulled down his pants before jum

Klaus POV Aria fit perfectly between my arms. I never get enough of touching her or feeling her body close to mine. I always wanted more. She truly was my mate and nothing could break our bond. I felt blissed. This was the real mate bond I longed for all this years. I touched Aria’s memories before when I first met her but this was totally different. She let me into her consciousness without holding back and I was surprised at how powerful her dark side was. She had no control over it at all. When it came to those who hurt her she couldn’t stop herself from hurting them. It put out the revengeful fire perpetually burning inside her. She wanted them dead and that got me wondering to what extent she was willing to go. I also did the same and allowed her in. She was overwhelmed. She kept jumping and exploring my mind for a long time. She finally knew everything about me from the moment I was born till this very second next to her. I didn’t notice where she was going inside my mind ti

Aria POVShe died in my arms. I never knew her but I was sure she didn’t deserve to die like this. She was a sweet girl who smiled shyly at me. What the hell happened? She was just here a second ago. The white dress that I wore was now soaked in her blood. Before I could even stand up or say anything, Klaus gripped my hand, along with Trinity and teleported to our bedroom in the castle. BANG … BANG … BANGWe heard the sound of gunshots coming from downstairs. Klaus stiffened next to me and stood up abruptly.“Don’t you dare leave me here” I glared at him. I knew what he was about to do. He just looked at me hesitantly. Then we teleported downstairs. We found 3 dead bodies, one of them had already shifted.“This is weird. It’s only in the castle. Nothing is outside.” Klaus sounded next to me. I turned to him and remembered: “Kathrine?”Klaus mindlinked her and I tuned in“Mother”“Klaus, you’re a here”“What happened? Where the hell is Sam? Aria POV“Damn it” I thought to myself. Klaus looked at me and I let Lucas go. He took long and deep breaths before standing up with difficulty.“I won’t take pity on you like last time Lucas” Klaus warned him and took off his shirt, showing his well toned muscular physique. He stood just in his jeans and he was already barefoot when we teleported back. “You two fought before” I mindlinked Klaus and I saw glimpses of their past fight in his memory. Klaus blocked me out after saying: “I can’t focus with you in my head like this. Not yet at least”The two of them stood in front of each other like I did with Marcus. “Challenges have to be witnessed by the pack,” Klaus said and shifted. He raised his head up and started howling, summoning the whole pack to him. Within seconds, they started to teleport in one after the other. The first one to arrive was Kathrine. When she saw them standing like this, she understood what was about to happen. She teleported one more time and stood right

Klaus POVI didn’t want to kill him. I hated to do what I just did. Last time I fought with him I was angry when I found his sister naked in my bed and almost killed him when he defended her. This time, Natalie has pushed him and me way too far. She truly was stupid, selfish and I would also say obsessed. “NATALIE” I called out her name and waited. It took her a full minute to come and stand in front of me with her head down. “Yes, alpha” her low and obedient voice sounded.“I hope you’re happy with what you’ve done” she looked at her brother's dead body and tears rolled down her cheeks. “I thought you’d be more reasonable and give up on the shit in your head but apparently you didn’t and pushed your brother to his death”I looked at Sam who was in a very bad shape, remembered Trinity’s panicked face right before she died, and the other 3 guards who died defending my mother. This was all her doing. I knew Lucas was a peaceful soul and would never want to engage in a challenge with

Klaus POVI laid down in bed with Aria’s head on my chest and arm around me. I took it all out on her. I wanted her to stay away from me till I calmed down but the stubborn woman she was, she didn’t wait. I couldn’t control myself or how hard I was on her. The second I was inside her, I let go of all the frustration that was piled up inside me. She winced a few times in pain but didn’t say a thing and I couldn’t hold back. She was fast asleep and I couldn’t get my eyes to close for a minute. Every time I did, I saw the two staring angrily at me for taking their lives.I slipped my arm from under her and walked out on the balcony. The sun was slowly shining on the horizon when I shifted, jumped off the balcony and ran away. The breeze still had the coldness of the night as it blew in my face. I passed a few guards on my way and others who were starting their day. I didn’t know where I was heading. All I wanted was to run away from everything that chained me back. “Klaus” Aria called m

While, Kaden stood next to me looking down at me with a disdainful smile on his face; “Forgot to tell you that my mother was a witch and she taught everything”He started circling around me one more time as I tried my best to calm down and limit the wolf’s bane effect on me to stay awake. I held my breath so as not to inhale more of the powder and paralyze my body.“You see, she taught me how poisonous the wolf’s bane is to your kind and how to use it to my benefit” he said and I tried to stand up, i needed to walk out of this spot to be able to breathe some fresh air. I have always buried my feelings deep inside and never looked back no matter what happened. I have always been strong and ruthless but ever since I got Aria in my life I have experienced all other types of emotions. Aria stared at me and I knew that she could feel everything that was going on inside me at this very second. For a moment, I didn’t want her to see me like this but there was nowhere to hide from her. She was my soul. Within a second, she numbed all my emotions, took all the depression and stress away. I didn't feel bad nor good. Just nothing at all. A weak smile found its way to me, she always does this when she tries to hide using her powers on me. Klaus POVI had nothing to say to Aria. Not because I didn’t want to tell her, no, because I didn't know how to explain to her that I could feel my dead brother whom I killed years ago watching me. His scent, that I get every now and then, was driving me out of my mind. The first time I recognized it was back in Paris and it never left me afterwards. I asked Sam to make sure that he was really dead back then. Days later, Sam assured me that he was dead for sure and couldn’t find anything. It was like fire in my bones and I didn’t know how to deal with it but with what was going on with Aria and me I didn’t give much attention to the whole thing. Till now, I felt him staring at us inside my own bedroom and I just lost control. I jumped right off the balcony like a mad wolf. Even Though we searched the whole land and we didn’t find anything, I couldn’t feel peace. I looked at Aria who sat next to me completely drenched and she just looked back at me waiting for me to talk. She pulled he

I turned my head to the side and saw Klaus sitting next to the bed, fast asleep while holding my hand tightly. “Klaus” I called out his name with a parched voice and tried to pull away my hand. His eyes snapped wide open and he stared at me. “Aria” he stood up and sat on the bed next to me. He caressed my cheek softly asking: “Are you okay?” he stared at me and I was immediately pulled into his soul. I could feel his worry rising like a Tsunami wave.I nodded my head and sat up: “I just have a headache”He sighed in relief and hugged me. It was a little big but it’s better than nothing. My clothes were no longer usable. I stood in front of the bed and watched Klaus sleep peacefully. He looked like he didn’t sleep for weeks and I didn’t want to disturb him. The moment I felt his mind again and his soul poured inside mine, I was relieved. I didn’t hide my feelings from him, I let him feel how shattered I was and how messed up I had become. “Will I ever recover from this?” I thought to myself as I took a deep breath. I wanted to stop feeling bad about James but couldn’t because I didn’t feel bad about him, I felt bad for myself. I didn’t know I could be so uncontrollably powerful. Never thought that

I was about to feel his heart stop from fear and pain when King Henry stopped me. He snapped his fingers and I lost total control over my power. “Aria” he roared my name and I turned my head towards him. He glared at me and I just looked down at James. He gasped loudly for air and laid down on the floor, his whole body shaking uncontrollably. He stared at nothing without saying a word. King Henry stepped down the stairs of his throne and stood right in front of me and I couldn’t hold back: “My King, you’ve heard everything. Everyone here heard it and it’s only fair that I kill him myself” I walked towards James, grabbed his hair and pulled it hard, showing his face to the King saying: “He has to feel everything I felt when he lashed me with his belt, 10 fucking lashes marked my body, and when he raped me, taking the l

The last day you had in your hands. The place you were at. Who did you meet. I need you to visualize the whole thing inside your head and focus on it and then I will do the rest” We all stood still and stared at them without blinking. The guards took the stairs up from the palace underground prison and I followed to the great hall. The second I raised my head up I was startled. I saw Aria standing next to Sam, Elijah, Tory and others from Black who nodded their heads at me and there were new faces that I never saw before. Then I turned to the other side where James, and the whole of his pack stood. King Henry sat on his throne in the middle. I stood in front of him, surrounded by the guards. But This time was different. He was different and I was different. The second he did. Zed knew what to do and he didn’t hesitate, just like we practiced countless times before. I was impressed by him, the 16 year old young boy that I found hiding in the woods. At first, he was scared and didn’t want to help or even talk to anyone but I just touched his emotions and assured him that no harm would come to him. His powers were truly magnificent and he was completely right to hide but not any more. It was time to show off what he could do and people should fear him and not the other way around. We all watched James fly up in the air and at the same time Zed came forward a few steps, k
