Chapter 81

Aurora's POV

I don't know what that was, I couldn't tell if it was a dream or if I imagined it.

I wasn't sure about anything at all but whatever that was, it sent shivers down my spine and made my knees shake. And I think my eyes were open. But I can't remember anything after... that.

It felt as though someone was watching me, listening to me.

Like someone could see through my skin, and hear my thoughts. The room was cold, colder than usual, the wind had picked up again. It blew hard like the wind itself wanted something from inside me. I shivered involuntarily, trying to wrap myself in my blankets for warmth but they didn't do much good anymore.

As the moon reflected into my room, I stood up with shaky hands and moved towards my window, pushing back the curtains. My breath hitched when I saw it, and my body trembled violently. What is that? I thought. Why am I seeing this? I closed my eyes tightly but I knew I wouldn't be able to close my ears to its whispers.
