Lorenzo

The cool night air enveloped me as I made my way toward my apartment building, my thoughts a whirlwind of emotions. Just as I reached the entrance, a familiar voice called out from behind, cutting through the silence.

"Lorenzo!"

I turned to see Erica hurrying toward me, her expression determined. Surprise etched on my face as I gestured toward the departing taxi. "What are you doing here? You're supposed to be going home."

Erica's eyes locked onto mine, her voice firm. "I changed my mind."

"Why?" I demanded, frustration simmering beneath the surface.

"Because I want to see you," she replied, her gaze unwavering. "I want to talk to you."

A bitter laugh escaped my lips as I scoffed at her insistence. "I thought I made it clear – I don't want to see or talk to you right now, Erica."

She took a step towards me, her tone pleading. "Can you hear me out first?"

"Please, just let me be," I retorted, my voice rising in exasperation. "How much do I need to plead with you concerning this
