ALPHA KING EDEN

My eyes fluttered open, my gaze hazy as I adjusted to the soft light filling the room. For a moment, I lay still, the events of the past few days a blur in my mind.

Slowly, the memories came rushing back; my capture, the dungeon, the torturous pain of silver burning through my veins, Sara using her power to save us, and her tear-filled eyes, full of worry and fear.

I wanted to reach out to her, to comfort her, to tell her that I was still here, still alive. But the bond between us had felt faint, like a lifeline stretched thin, and I hadn’t had the strength to respond.

Turning my head slowly, I realized I was alone in the room. The bed was empty, the room eerily quiet.
