Safe haven

Nina was disappointed with her performance towards Ezra's training. It had only been a day, but she felt like she was never going to learn anything. The only times she actually managed to defend herself from him was when he made it easy for her. He told her not to beat herself up since it was only first time, but she still couldn't help but feel down.

"You don't have to bother yourself with this, Nina." Ezra said again as they entered their room. She was sweating and she felt spent up from all the long hours of training, but strangly she didn't feel tired.

"Even a human would do better than me."

"I'm an Alpha, Nina." He reminded her.

"Oh, I was supposed to have an Alpha wolf as well." She rolled her eyes, and he chuckled.

"Do you know what the best defense is as a werewolf?" He then asked her, and she shook her head.

"Wolfsbane."

"Huh? Is that supposed to a defense or a poison?"
