Bella took into consideration what Michelle said to her, and she finally decided to call Andrew. He picked up as soon as his phone rang, and her heart raced both in excitement and anxiousness at the thought of hearing his voice.

"Hey babe." His voice came in casually, making her frown. This was the first time he had even used that endearment on her, and she was normally supposed to blush, but she felt annoyed at the moment. She had expected him to sound a bit more remorseful.

"Andrew." She called his name, her voice doing nothing to hide her displeasure.

She heard him sigh, before he spoke up again. "I am sorry, Bella. I really am."

"Not calling or texting, for failing to protect you. I am your mate, and I should do that at all times."
