5. The prophecy.

Five months later.

I smiled rubbing my stomach as I made my pot of soup. I was five months pregnant yet in my sixth month I would be delivering my bundle of joy/ joys in just a few weeks. I hadn't been to any hospital because I was carrying a werewolf and not a regular baby.

It would be strange to show up at a hospital and say that I was six months pregnant with a eight months stomach. Along with the fact that they might think my baby was growing at a very fast rate. My baby would be a test subject.

Bella sat in the corner of the room closely watching me. If it wasn't for Bella then I would probably be on the streets or probably dead, I was grateful for my best friend who took me in when I had nowhere to go.

"No Bella, I know what your thinking."

"Athena from the time I found you, your stomach is has been growing at an incredible rate, your only five months pregnant but yet you look as if your carrying sextuplets. I think it's dangerous you've gone this long without going to a hospital." Bella voiced her concerns.

Bella had no idea about my previous werewolf life and my family being a werewolf. Even though I could trust her, there's no telling what she would do after hearing me talk about superficial beings, being my family.

"I told you already, I'll be fine, I know what I'm doing." I had no idea of what I'll tell her when I have my baby. I'm currently still trying to come up something.

"Well at least let me get a doctor here to do a thorough check up on you. Your five months pregnant and you don't even know the gender of the baby." She rolled her eyes.

Before I could answer, there was a knock on the door.

"Did you invite anyone over?" I asked concerned as Bella went to open the door.

"No I did not." She stated pulling the door.

"Selene! how did you know where I lived?" Bella hugged an old lady at the door.

Without answering the woman immediately came inside our home. I grabbed the knife that was on the table in fear.

"It's you! you're the one." The woman said to me in amazement.

"What the hell do you want?! Don't come anymore closer and stay the hell away from me!" I yelled at her.

"Selene what are you doing?" Bella questioned puzzled just as I was puzzled myself.

Without responding once again the woman stretched out her hand towards my stomach and I quickly covered my stomach.

But what surprised me, was in the moment of my fear a white almost invisible shield covered my entire body. I gasped in shock as the woman did too.

"I knew it! I knew that you were the one after Bella told me about you." She spoke in amazement.

"What the hell is that!" Bella screamed drawing both of our attention towards her.

Stretching out her hand towards Bella, the woman mumbled a few words and that was all it took to see my best friend drop to the floor unconscious.

"What did you do to her?!" I questioned quickly going to Bella's aide.

The shield was still covering my body.

"It's just an unconscious spell, she'll be back up within a few minutes." She spoke and I got up holding my knife towards her once again.

"You're a witch aren't you?!.............Did Alpha Leo send you here to get me?!" my hands trembled in fear.

"Of course not! So you're from the Bloodmoon pack." She spoke to herself before continuing.

"I'm Selene, I'm sure you might've known about oracles. I'm from the Crestmoon pack." She answered.

"Your Selene the oracle? I..I thought you were dead?" I questioned in another shock.

"That's what I made everything think." She added.

"What are you doing here?" I questioned still holding the knife up, I wasn't going to let my guard down.

"When Bella told me of a woman being pregnant and looked like she was about to have ten babies while only five months pregnant and that she had found you on the side of a road, I immediately realized that something about this entire thing sounds bizarre to me." She explained.

"I remember the prophecy about a very powerful white wolf, I saw it, it's said that her offspring's will rule the entire werewolf until the end of time. It was also stated that this wolf would go through trails and test to find her true mate." She continued.

"Ha, first of all I'm a human and not any mythical creature much less powerful and I certainly don't fit the description of what you spoke." I assured her.

"Have you forgotten that I'm an oracle Athena. Not only can I see parts of the future but I can also feel one's aurora and you Athena are far more than just a mere human. I could detect it from a mile away. If you were carrying a human child your children would've never protected you with that powerful shield if they didn't think that you were in danger or felt your distress." She explained and I blinked multiple times in shock.

"Children? You mean I'm having more than one baby and my babies protected me because they felt my distress and the need to protect me?" I widened my eyes still in shock.

"Yes Athena, precisely so." Selene nodded.

I was at a loss for words, this was too much,

"But I'm not a werewolf." I stated as the shield was now gone, I was no longer afraid.

"Of course you are, you just haven't shifted as yet." Selene advised.

"But why would the moon goddess let my mate, the one who was to protect me, use and dismiss me as if I was nothing? Why would the moon goddess make my life a living hell!" I questioned unable to understand.

"I myself is unable to explain the things our creator the moon goddess does Athena, I only see visions and can feel one's true feelings or aurora and I dare not question her choices." Selene spoke in a stern tone as if warning me against talking bad about the moon goddess.

I sighed turning off the pot of soup, There was so much I had to ask her but was scared at what I might come across.

"You want to know what's next?" Selene spoke up.

"Your carrying powerful heirs, you need to find yourself, you will soon have to face the past, you need to come with me." Selene suggested.

"Why do I need to go with you? Why do I have to face the past? Why can't the past stay in the past?" I asked.

"To move on from the past you need to face the past Athena, I have seen it but the main reason for you coming with me is because your putting Bella's life in danger. You have the smell of a rogue. one things that has ran away from her pack."

"If the truth gets out you can be protected by your children, you'll be constantly hunted but Bella will be the one in most danger since she's a human. I also came to find out that Bella lived with a rogue because she smells of one."

"And I guess Bella will not be able to see me again?" I quarried.

"No, I can erase her memories of you so that it won't be hard for her." She suggested.

I thought about everything she had told me, Bella was a great friend and I hated that I'd lose her but putting her life in danger was certainly not worth it. Bella deserved a lot more than dying for saving me.

"How can you perform spells as an oracle?" I inquired.

"I've come across a lot of things in my lifetime Athena."

"And where would you take me?"

"To my pack, the Crestmoon pack, don't worry. You'll be fine." Selene assured.

"I'll go and pack my things." She nodded her head.

The Crestmoon pack was the second biggest behind the blood moon pack. They were also known for being cruel.

I somehow knew I had to face my past, I knew this was going to be tough but one thing was for certain, I was not going to stand and be soft in front of anyone. I have to be strong for my baby.
