2. Mortified.

"Mate?" I gasped covering my mouth in surprise.

I watched as his smile grew deeply while staring at me. I stared at the ground shyly and in disbelief of the Alpha being my mate.

"Y...you knew?" I asked knowing that Alpha Leo must've known that I was his mate all along.

He was twenty-one and we had come in contact before for me being without a wolf. Then I'd remember the times he would stare at me and I had thought it was because of hatred and wanting to throw me out of the pack.

"That doesn't matter now does it?" My mate whispered in my ear before taking my trembling hand and pulling me along.

"Where are you taking me Alpha?" I questioned happily going along with my mate.

Without answering I was carried to the back of his house. Then taken to his room. I marveled at how beautiful his home was.

"Alpha Leo....."

"Call me Leo, I'm your mate of course." He smirked drawing nearer to me.

"Now that we've found each other Leo, what will happen?" I wanted to know since he was seeing the Beta's sister and I was wolf less and not accepted by the pack.

"We can have that figured out tomorrow Athena but for tonight let's put all issues aside and let's get to know each other." He stroked his hand against my cheeks.

My heart shuddered with delight and I was overtaken by lust. I was smitten by the Alpha, he was everything a girl could ever want.

"The urge to mark you and bearing my pups is beyond me." He lusted brushing my hair to the side and sniffing my neck.

Now that I remember, his scent was always a distant smell in my room whenever I woke up in the morning, just as it was when I woke up today.

I remember my mate telling every male werewolf never to come within meters of me because I was wolf less and not worthy enough and that anyone who dared to come near me would be punished.

Now that I think about it, it could also be the reason why I was never thrown out of the pack, because he knew I was his mate.

Smashing his lips on to me Alpha Leo dominantly took over my ever scene's. I wanted nothing more for him to take me.

And just as I wanted, Alpha Leo instantly ravished my body entire body. His hand left trails of delight everywhere he touched me.

My virginity was no more as my mate and alpha took it away. We made love to the wee hours in the morning.

The feeling of being loved by my mate overwhelming me.

For the first time in years I felt wanted.

"Good morning." I greeted my mate as I woke up next to him.

The memories of what happened last night playing in my head and I felt love and affection for my Alpha.

His short brown hair was disheveled, his long slender body filled with battle scars.

My hand touched the nape of my neck feeling four small cut from where he tried to bite me. Even though I had no werewolf ability to heal fast from a wound, I liked the idea of feeling the pain from our love making because it reminded me of us together.

I sat up in bed pulling the sheets over my body while watching my mate closely as he placed on his robe.

Leo's mother and previous Luna Loretta entered the room with a disgusted and disapproving look. Her glare made me cower in fear of being punished.

I could only distinctively hear harsh whispers, cursing and mumblings from Loretta as she turned to leave the room but not before glaring at me one more time.

I knew the reason why they whispered was because I also had no werewolf ability to listen whatever they were whispering from a mile away as werewolves could do.

I'm sure my parents cared less if I slept out, the only problem would be when they woke up and there was no one to make them breakfast.

"You need to leave." Leo turned towards me and his dark brown eyes didn't glow as it did last night, instead they looked at me with hatred.

"W.. what?" I stuttered unable to comprehend what was actually happening.

"There you are Leo, did you have fun last night? I'm sure you didn't, no human can be as aggressive in bed as a werewolf. It must've felt dead for you." Emma laughed making my heart drop.

No, this cannot be happening to me! This must be some sort of game.

"W... what is she talking about Leo?" I questioned getting off the bed while holding the sheets to my chest.

"That's Luna and alpha for you human." Emma spat.

Emma and I had a long history in high school together. She had always been the popular student because her father and mother was the second in command to the alpha and luna.

When I had turned sixteen she was hellbent on making my life miserable because I was not fit to be in a school for werewolf and so she made my senior years in high school hell.

"You actually thought I would choose you Athena?" My mate Leo snickered taunting me as Emma stood next to him smirking.

My heart crumbled hearing his harsh words. This could never be the same man I gave my virginity to last night, no he wasn't this cruel...or was a blinded by my love for him? or by my need for love?

Leo came close to me and leaned to my ear before whispered to me, "Last night meant nothing to me." And at this tears streamed down my face.

"I almost feel pity for you." Emma laughed.

"I won't reject you Athena, instead I'll have you feel pain for being so naïve to think I'd ever accept you as my mate. I'll let you feel how my mate and I make love." My Alpha and mate spoke distastefully while leaving me trembling in fear and in pain.

"But you promised to reject her and make me your Luna." Emma whined.

"She doesn't need to be rejected for you to be my Luna, luna Emma." My mate sweetly talked to his chosen luna.

"But won't that kill her if you mark me without rejecting her?" She questioned him as if I was not in the room.

"She's not a werewolf but a mere human. She will feel nothing." Alpha Leo responded as I dropped to the floor in tears.

The one that was supposed to protect me the most in this world did the opposite of that.

"How could you be this heartless to your own mate!" I screamed but only received a slap to my face from Emma.

I stared up at Leo with pleading eyes and for a split second I saw remorse before he looked away.

I didn't want to feel anymore pain than I was feeling, I felt my last hopes dashed through the air.

"I, Athena Velez rejects you.." Before I could reject him Leo angrily yelled at me.

"I want you out of my room in the next five minutes and before I come back!" With this he grabbed a hold of Emma's hand and left.

That's when I felt my body giving up from fighting and I tumbled to the floor out cold.
