Lucian's POV

From Calla's laughter to her facial expressions, I could say that I was scared for the first time in a long time. I saw this part of Calla that I had never seen or even thought she was capable of.

"Lucian. You speak of trust?"

I tried to remain unfazed, I couldn't just let my pride get tainted.

"Calla. It was all a mistake, I never wished for this to happen anyway."

Calla gave out a sly smile. The moonlight reflecting on her face gave her a villainous look.

"I understand mistakes happen. I don't have much to say."

"But at least say you've forgiven me." I reasoned out. Her face still didn't give off her thoughts that moment.

"I have forgiven you, that's nothing to worry about." Calla smiled but it didn't reach her eyes either.

What she said next came off as a warning other than a advice. "Handle the problem or else I will handle it myself."

With that, she turned and entered her room again, left me speechless. She wasn't bluffing, she made sure of that.
