As the dinner date commenced, the atmosphere felt tense, as if the weight of our recent struggles hung in the air. Calla's presence, while captivating, carried an unpredictable energy that left me slightly uneasy. Her expressions were a tapestry of emotions, making it challenging to decipher her true feelings.

As we sat across from each other at the table, the flickering candlelight cast soft shadows on Calla's face, accentuating the lines of worry etched upon her brow.
