Chapter 242 Sweet Escape

Morning came far too soon for my liking, and to say that I was tired would be an understatement. I was exhausted, lethargic and in absolutely no mood to show my face back at school after the near-scandal that I faced yesterday.

If I could find a way to graduate my classes without showing my face at school, then I would've jumped at the chance. But I knew that wasn't possible; and me not showing up at school would only lead to further speculations and rumors.

As soon as I stepped into the hallways, I knew what questions would be thrown at me. I could already see the way everyone was looking at me, as if I was some kind of walking plague that would curse them the moment they touched me, or even laid their eyes on me. And the low hum in the corridors told me that the whispers had already started.

Honestly, I wanted people to just leave me alone, to let me be and for things to go back to the way when they didn't even acknowledge my existence. At least
