Lilac's P.O.V

I walked down the empty hallways with quick steps, about to head to my next class since I was already running late.

The issue with Serena and her friends had delayed me longer than I intended, not that I was already late for hiding inside the washroom for an entire period. But now that the issue had been resolved and my mind was more at ease, I just remembered that I had two assignments due today and if I didn't submit them on time, I might miss out on my perfect score.

"I should've submitted them yesterday." I sighed, mumbling to myself as I adjusted my backpack on my shoulders.

The hallways were empty since the bell had already rung and most of the students were already in class by now. So I hurried up, hoping that I wouldn't get an earful from the teachers for being late, since the last thing I wanted was to explain to them what had happened this morning.

I was almost at my classroom, when the door to an empty classroom right next to it su

Lilac's P.O.V Morning came far too soon for my liking, and to say that I was tired would be an understatement. I was exhausted, lethargic and in absolutely no mood to show my face back at school after the near-scandal that I faced yesterday. If I could find a way to graduate my classes without showing my face at school, then I would've jumped at the chance. But I knew that wasn't possible; and me not showing up at school would only lead to further speculations and rumors. As soon as I stepped into the hallways, I knew what questions would be thrown at me. I could already see the way everyone was looking at me, as if I was some kind of walking plague that would curse them the moment they touched me, or even laid their eyes on me. And the low hum in the corridors told me that the whispers had already started. Honestly, I wanted people to just leave me alone, to let me be and for things to go back to the way when they didn't even acknowledge my existence. At least

Lilac's P.O.V I could tell by the look on Liam's face that my confession had caught him off guard. And why wouldn't it? I hadn't meant to tell anyone or confess to anyone at all that I was going to be leaving the pack as soon as high school ended. It's not like there would be anyone trying to stop me from leaving. On the contrary, the pack would probably be holding a party to celebrate my departure. But still, I hadn't planned on telling anyone. Just wanted to silently disappear into the night and never look back. "Lily, what did you mean just now?" Liam asked; his brows furrowed as he seemed to come a bit closer to me across the stream. "What did you mean by you won't be here much longer?" I thought about what he said, piecing my thoughts together so they would come out as coherent and straight to the point. I had a feeling that when it came to Liam, I needed to be very open and straightforward with him. He had helped me a lot in the past a

Krimson's P.O.V I balled my hands into fists by my side, watching the entire scene play out as a vicious growl threatened to rip from my throat. This wasn't what I had been expecting when I had come to the spring to clear my head! I wanted to take a break, to watch over my pack from the hills as the sun set in the horizon and the cool winds of the north brought peace to my soul. But I had just started to take a seat at the edge of the cliff when the sound of water splashing had caught my attention. Driven by curiosity, I had made my way to the springs, to check what was even going on. But what I had witnessed had made me freeze on the spot, my blood boiling in my veins as anger and resentment took me in a chokehold, refusing to let go. Lilac and Liam. Luca's boy Liam! It's not that I hadn't expected them to end up in bed together. They were both young and horny. It was only a matter of time before it happened and this wouldn't be the first time when

Lilac's P.O.V "Dani?" To say that I was surprised to find her waiting outside the Soup House in the morning would be an understatement. After the way I had treated her yesterday, how I had yelled at her before walking away…the scene played over and over in my head and the icy cold claws of guilt gripped my heart, making me unable to meet her brown eyes. However, the next thing I know, Dani was right there, hugging me to her warm embrace as I stood still, not understanding how she could still hug me after all the shitty things I did. "I'm sorry!" We both said at the same time, pulling back to look at each other's face before we burst out laughing and everything felt right in the world once again. "I'm so sorry for yelling at you like that." I told her now, with my arms on her shoulders. "Please forgive me, Dani. I don't know what came over me." "No," she shook her head, wiping tears from the corn

Liam's P.O.V Later that evening, I couldn't help hum one of my favorite tunes as I drove back to my house, a stupid smile plastered to my face that I couldn't seem to get rid of. Lily had accepted my invitation! I wanted to shout it out to the winds, with my head out of the car window like a maniac, but I realized the health hazards, so I decided against such a foolish act. But still…I couldn't contain my happiness. At first, I was very convinced that she would reject me and my invitation, probably telling my dad about the party since she was so fond of him. But when Danika finally managed to convince Lily, and I saw her smile as she accepted the invite…I just couldn't contain my happiness! I couldn't help but think that she was already falling for me, just like I was falling for her, and I knew that it was left for me to act fast before it was too late. A beautiful woman like her wasn't going to stay single for long because I wasn't the only one who had e

Lilac's P.O.V One month flew by almost in a blink of an eye, and I never thought that I would ever say this while I was still living in this pack, but time really does fly when you're having fun. And it wasn't just Dani and me anymore, but Liam and Tawin as well who had joined the gang and with the four of us together, school started to feel less like hell than it had been before. Serena had returned to the school, after her two week suspension, and when I had been afraid that she would cause more trouble for me, she actually stayed away. She had even stopped bothering me, which I found odd, but with the final exams nearing and no other assignments due, I guess she no longer had any use for me anymore. Before we knew it, it was almost time for the party and Dani and I decided to go to the mall in town, to get new clothes to wear to the party. Correction…Dani wanted to buy new clothes to wear to Liam's party, because she wanted to impress the boys and finally get

Lilac's P.O.V "A full search, eh?" The manager licked his lips, eyes me and then Dani, from head to toe. "Why, yes…maybe a thorough search would be a good idea." Horrified, I stared at the manager as the middle aged man continued to scan, as if undressing us with his eyes. Serena stood beside him, a look of satisfaction on her face as if she had just won the lottery. Serena was making sure that we had the worst kind of attention in that store and I could see people from outside forming a small crowd as they whispered to each other as to what had just happened. I think I even heard someone in the group grunt out a 'bloody teens' as the turned away from the scene. The amount of hate I felt at that moment for Serena was something I couldn't even explain. If I was truly some kind of cursed witch, then where was my power now? Why couldn't I command these filthy men, who were looking at Dani and me like we were some kind of prostitutes, to gouge ea

Lilac's P.O.V I struggled against his grip, watching in horror as people peeked from behind the glass display of the stores to watch the scene unfold. But just as I had expected, I was no match for Alpha Krimson's strength. "Where are you taking me?" I snapped, still struggling to break free of his grip, but to no avail. I didn't appreciate being dragged like an animal across the mall, knowing full well that I didn't do anything wrong. It was so embarrassing on all levels and the curious and horrified stares of the onlookers only made matters even worse. Fine, he helped me and Dani by saving us from the clutches of that…goddamned pedophile manager! But that didn't mean he could just drag me around like he pleased! Krimson needed to learn that I wasn't some kind of toy at his disposal that he could treat however he wanted. I dug my heels into the ground, slowing us down, but Krimson simply turned around to look at me, his eyes still ablaze as if there was s

Lilac's P.O.V It's been a long ride and a very eventful one at that and anytime I think about what Krimson and I have been through, I'm just grateful we had the strength to go through everything we went through and we were able to come out of it even stronger than how we were before. As the sun cast its warm, golden rays across the university campus, I found myself sitting on a bench, the weight of decisions pressing against my chest. The soft whispers of the leaves rustling in the gentle breeze mirrored the conflicted thoughts swirling in my mind. Krimson, my mate, had offered a future tied to our pack, an enticing prospect for many, but not for me. I gazed at the sprawling grounds, feeling a tug in my heart that wasn't just about academic pursuits. The university held promises beyond the textbooks and lectures. It offered freedom—freedom to carve my own identity, to explore knowledge that extended far beyond the boundaries of our pack's traditions. I yearned to brea

Krimson's P.O.V I woke up to the pale light filtering through the hospital room, the faint beeping of monitors sounding in the background. My vision was hazy at first, the events leading up to this moment a jumbled mess in my mind. As I blinked and slowly tried to focus, the first thing that became clear was Lilac's form, peacefully asleep in a chair next to my bed. Relief washed over me as memories flooded back, fragments piecing together into a coherent narrative. "Lilac," I whispered softly, my voice hoarse from disuse. She stirred slightly, a faint flutter of eyelashes against her cheeks, but she remained deep in slumber. The sight of her there, unwavering by my side, despite everything that had transpired, filled me with an inexplicable warmth. I couldn't help but recall the chaos of that night—the confrontation, the whirlwind of emotions, and then the blankness as consciousness slipped away from me. But here I was, waking up to her steadfast presence. It m

Lilac's P.O.V I watched Silver hurl accusations at me, adding to my guilt. I wanted to explain, to make her understand that it wasn't intentional, that the circumstances had shifted beyond my control. But words seemed to desert me in that moment as I grappled with the weight of her accusation. However, Krimson's voice echoed in the room then, commanding even though weak. "Silver, it's not Lilac's fault," he said firmly, his voice carrying the weight of authority. "I made the decision. I took action to protect." Silver's gaze snapped toward Krimson, her eyes filled with disbelief. "What are you saying, Krimson? You hated her, didn't you? Then why would you risk your life to save her?" Krimson shook his head solemnly. "No, Silver. I never hated Lilac, it was our circumstances that I hated. It felt like the Goddess had played a cruel joke on me. But I couldn't run away from a bond fated by the goddess herself, Silver. I had caused Lilac enough pain as it is…I

Lilac's P.O.V I nodded, my mind racing with the urgency of the situation. I moved towards Silver, hoping against hope that all of this worked. "Silver…" I called out to her slowly, making her head snap in my direction. "Please…you need to stop all of this." But Silver's face twisted in a sinister smirk. "It's too late to stop any of this, Lilac. This ends with one of us." "It doesn't have to be that way, Silvia." I shook my head, pleading with her. From the corner of my eyes, I saw Del approaching her steadily from behind her, while I kept on engaging her in conversion. "It does, Lilac." Silver snapped at me, turning her body around so she was facing me completely. "You don't understand-" It was all Del needed, for her to turn away, so that our plan worked. Without wasting a second, he came up behind Silver and wrapped his arms around her body, holding her in place as he took her by surprise

Lilac's P.O.V For a moment, time seemed suspended, the tableau frozen in an eerie stillness. Silver hesitated, her gaze flickering between me and Krimson, the dagger held poised in the air, its lethal purpose momentarily forgotten in the face of Krimson's interruption. "Step away from her, Silver," Krimson's voice cut through the tension, unwavering and authoritative. His stance was firm, commanding obedience without question. The grip of Silver's magic lessened, the pressure easing just enough for me to draw a ragged breath. My muscles protested as I struggled against the binds anew, though I didn't dare to take my eyes off Silver, her expression a maelstrom of conflicting emotions - anger, desperation, and a hint of something I couldn't quite place. "Krimson, you shouldn't be here," Silver's voice wavered, a tremor betraying the turmoil within her. Her grip on the dagger faltered, uncertainty clouding her features. "You know I couldn't stand by and

Lilac's P.O.V The air was thick with tension, a palpable energy that crackled around us like a storm waiting to break. "Silver, you're fooling yourself if you think you can wield that kind of power," I said softly, my gaze fixed on the gleaming knife in her hands. "You're not a true Silver Alpha Breeder, you never will be. You can't ever access my full potential." Silver's laughter cut through the serene air, a sound that held a hint of something darker beneath its surface. "Oh, you have no idea, do you?" Her eyes glinted with an intensity that sent a shiver down my spine. "You underestimate what a witch can do, what I can do. I'm part wolf, part witch. I'm a hybrid that is already stronger than both a wolf and a witch! There's nothing I cannot do, Lilac!" "You think I chose you to lead our pack because of some noble sentiment? No, Lilac." Her voice was cold, devoid of any warmth. "I chose you because I knew the stronger you became, the more that dormant p

Lilac's P.O.V My eyes brimmed with confusion and hurt as I confronted Silver in the dimly lit room I was being held captive in. "Did you…ever really consider me a friend, Silver?" my voice trembled with a mixture of fear and desperation, my heart aching with the weight of betrayal. Silver, her gaze heavy with sorrow and a haunted past, met my eyes. "I used to belong to a peaceful pack, a pack that had been my home since the day I was born," she began, her voice tinged with a raw emotion that spoke volumes of her pain. "We lived in harmony, in unity. It was everything to me." Tears welled up in Silver's eyes, reflecting the agony of memories etched deep within her soul. "Your father," she whispered, the words heavy with anguish. "He... he attacked our pack. In the dead of night, when darkness cloaked the land, he led a brutal assault." I felt my heart ache for the woman that I had once considered my biggest alley, but now, she had turned out to be my bigges

Krimson's P.O.V The night hung heavy around us as we tore through the city streets, the engine's roar mingling with the howling wind. Del and I were on a mission—racing against time to reach Silver's apartment. It was imperative that we find Lilac before anything sinister unfolded. "Alpha Krimson, step on it!" Del's voice cut through the adrenaline-charged air, urgency lacing every word. His grip tightened on the door handle as we swerved through the dimly lit alleys, the neon signs blurring into streaks of color. "I'm pushing it as hard as I can!" I shouted back, my eyes fixed on the road ahead. The weight of worry pressed on me like a leaden cloak. We had to reach Silver's place, and had to find Lilac safe and sound. Finally, screeching to a halt outside Silver's building, we leaped out of the car. Breathless and tense, we dashed up the stairs, each step echoing the pounding of our hearts. As we reached Silver's door, our hopes soared, but a hollow silence gre

Lilac's P.O.V As I slowly arose to consciousness, I found myself grappling with the weight of my heavy eyelids. My mind sluggishly pieced together the fragments of reality, pushing through a dense fog of disorientation. The air felt heavy, each inhale a laborious effort that failed to fill my lungs as it should. A peculiar lightheadedness swept over me, a disconcerting sensation akin to floating on the edge of a dream. My initial attempt to stretch my arms, to move, met an unexpected resistance. Panic flickered through my drowsy mind as the realization hit home—I was restrained. My fingertips brushed against something coarse and unyielding, confirming my fear. The sensation sent a jolt of adrenaline through my groggy state, clearing the haze momentarily. I tried to rise, only to discover the cruel truth of my predicament: bound, not just by ropes or chains, but tied firmly to what appeared to be a marble table. The cool surface pressed against my skin, a s
