Chapter 04

ALONG THE ROAD to Leo’s company, Cole tag along with him to get used to living in the city while he was staying at Leo’s place. Cole was sitting at the back of Leo’s car while looking out the window while looking at the place they are passing.

Cole was silent during their trip as he was still thinking about what Leo told him about Omega having a pheromones scent that would give a reaction to his body, that only omegas have that smell. Cole held his head because he was so confused at that moment, especially since he knew that the omega lineage was gone a long time ago. Cole felt like he was searching for nothing.

“Are you sure you’ll come with me to my company? My female employees fantasize about me, when they see you I'm sure they will ignore my good looks.” Leo said while driving.

“I don’t want to stay at your house alone, it will bore me. Besides, for me to actually stay here in the city, you need to give me a job to work for.” Cole answered which made Leo laugh slightly.

“I can’t imagine our Alpha will work his butt just to find his mate in this city, but it will be tough for you. Only an Omega has the scent that you are looking for, but their lineage are---“

“—annihilated already, I know that, Leo. That's why my head was aching thinking about what you said, that only an Omega has that pheromones scent. Fuck, I thought finding my Luna is a piece of fucking cake.” Cole said while rubbing his forehead.

“Who knows, you said that the prophecy also said as it’s written that a human can be an Alpha’s mate. As I remembered, abuela mentioned to me that there’s a chance of a human descendant of Omega who’s still alive. There’s still a chance that you have a human mate with inactive blood of an Omega, more on human blood is more flowing in them.”

“Human descendant of an Omega? I thought that it was just a story made of by our ancestors, so you mean there’s a chance that a human has a blood of Omega flowing in them that can be an Alpha’s, fated mate?” Cole asks as he clearly to Leo what are they talking about making Leo’s shoulder shrug off.

“I don’t know, Abuela just mentioned that to me before. I don’t have an idea if that’s true.” Leo answer as Cole was silenced in his seat.

When Leo arrived at his company, he immediately parked his car in the VIP parking lot, Cole and Leo got out of the car at the same time, Leo walked up to Cole and patted his shoulder.

“If you’re still eager to find your fated Luna here in the city, then I will help you. I’ll give you a job at my company, I have a slot position that’s fitted for you, Cole. How about the head of the clea---“

“I can kill you in a fucking swift without any trace, Leo, think of that before you say words that can fucking offend me.” Cole cut off Leo’s words who just laughed at him.

“I’m just kidding Mr. Alpha, I will give you the position of the management head executive because I can trust you in helping me manage the empire I made here in the city. Let’s go inside, I’ll introduce you to all of my employees.” Leo said as they walked until they get inside Leo's company.

All the employees on the ground floor who saw their boss bow and greeted them, most of the female employees were looking with amazement in their faces while looking at Cole’s handsome face and broad body that women drool over.

“As I expected, you stole the attention of my female employees. You’re a threat to my popularity in my own company.” Leo said as he shook his head while Cole is doesn't care about what he is complaining about.

As they walked and approached the elevator to go up to Leo’s office at the top of the building, Cole didn't even get inside the elevator when he stopped and grabbed his chest when it suddenly pounded fast. He was starting to pant and sweat slightly when he smelled a smell that remained in his sense of smell that made his chest beat even faster.

“Cole? Are you okay? Why didn’t you enter the elevator?” Leo asks confusedly as he stares at Cole who was holding his chest with a weird look on his handsome face, Cole looks around at the ground hall of Leo’s company.

What is this fucking feeling, that smell, who has it? Where is it? Damn! My chest is pounding too fast, I feel the fucking heat that is slowly flowing at my body. Where that fragrance came from? I-is that the pheromones scent? Is there an Omega who is still alive who's fucking here?! Coles talked to own self as his eyes wandered to every corner of Leo’s company, and then suddenly his feeling was slowly returning to its normal pace, his breathing and the heat were slowly fading.

“What the fuck?!”

“Cole, what’s happening to you, man?” Leo confusedly asks Cole who immediately turns his gaze to him.

“I smell it, Leo! I smell the fragrance of the pheromones scent, there’s an omega in your company.” Cole blurted to Leo who frowned his forehead.

“There’s an Omega in my company? Are you saying that you smell a pheromones scent here at my fvcking company?!” Leo said in shock as Cole turn his gaze again to the ground floor looking as if he wants to see where and who that smell came from.

“Damn! I can't be wrong, I swear I smell the scent of her pheromones but why did it suddenly disappear?” Cole asks himself confusedly.

ON THE OTHER HAND, a woman who was breathing heavily sits weakly on the stair step holding her chest while calming herself because of the weird feelings she suddenly felt when she entered the ground floor of the company she was working.

She was totally confused and wondered why she began to feel heavily breathing while her chest started pounding like it was in a race. She started sweating and the weirdest part is, she feel the heat in her body. A heat that makes her body itch for something she doesn’t know what it is. She feels that she was craving for something, but now that she enter the stairway of the company, the weird feelings she felt suddenly subtly faded away as she back to her normal pace.

“W-what happened to me? I-is this some of the effects of my illness? T-this is new to me, what is this weird feeling I felt for the first time?” the woman said as she lean on the wall and breathe calmly so she can restore the strength that suddenly left her.
