CHAPTER 95

Nora’s POV

Dylan was writhing on the floor. He had not eaten since yesterday. I don’t know which food in particular. He had eaten. I always gave him my share of the food. I just wanted him comfortable, by all means.

I banged on the door harder than the last time. “We need some medicine down here!” My voice was wearing out from all the shouting. All I could hear was radio silence as I pressed my ear to the door.

"Mum, it hurts; make it stop,” Dylan cried. Tears formed, but I refused to let them fall.

“Somebody help!” I cried out, followed by intense banging. "Jake, I will do anything. Please save my son!” I yelled out in more frustration. I looked around, and I could see Mila’s shawl by the bedside. Only if Mila was here with me. She was the one who made it easier for me to get bigger portions.
