Once Lori entered the country's border in Alpha Kai's carriage her stomach did a dance of a joy, she felt safe since it's miles away from Leo's pack, and the carriage was comfortable, She has never felt that kind of soft materials in years, She wondered why the Alpha king didn't join her in the carriage.

"I must be joking, Why would i think an Alpha King could join a dirty slave like me in his carriage?" Lori soliloquised indistinctively, She felt inferior, The Alpha would rather ride on his horse than ride in an expensive carriage with a dirty urchin slave in it" She sniffled and humbly sat trying not to dirty the chair.

Her father was killed years ago and her country conquered by Leo and some other Alpha Kings with common connivance, And it brought an end to her regality when she was enslaved by Leo.

Lori felt extremely grateful by this treatment from Alpha Kai, he is a savior a knight in shining armor, He renewed her hope.

She cleaned her palm very meticulously with the cleanest part of her torn fabric and then she slightly moved the carriage curtain to see the country through the window,

Lori's eyes widened in surprise as she stared at the country she was right in, It had caught her off guard. Her mouth hung open slightly, It was really the biggest and powerful kingdom in the werewolf world,

She asked herself these questions and then buys portrait collections about Kingdom of Lycaonia by popular artists when she was in her palace some years back.

Kingdom of Lycaonia is the only kingdom Leo can never conquer, He has planned for years, Lori remembered how sad she was when she heard how the Kingdom was invaded due to their weak foolish king who almost sold the kingdom in exchange for his life and family's, And a new king came through for them, A king who took the enemy country down and turned it to a colonized state, and how he united his original Kingdom of Luporia and Lycaonia.

"Could this king be this Alpha who also saved me ?" Lori gasped in amazement, She has never been surprised, She was literally in encounter with the current most powerful Alpha king in the world?

As they approached the palace, Lori was struck by the sheer grandeur and sophistication of the buildings, The palace maids, guards all walking to and fro minding their working life, All elegant and almost not looking like they were workers.

The coachman stopped the carriage and the footman opened it with such grace, Lori felt so undeserving of the treatment she was receiving, She quickly walked out of the carriage and bowed to the footman, she was so shocked he had bowed before she could.

"Welcome to my Palace" The Alpha's reverberating voice echoed from behind Lori and her heart skipped eight beats at once,

"Your grace is immeasurable Alpha, I'm so undeserving of this" She said with a bow trying so much to avoid his charming eye contact, His face is too breathtaking and she could loose her mind and not be able to control her thudding heart, She'd not afford to cause a ruckus that might lead to a bad impression of her.

Alpha Kai smirked a smile that is smug, slightly upward curve of the chin to the side, And Ulric's eyes widened again,

"He just smirked!" He yelled inwardly trying to control himself,

"Come with me" Alpha Kai said holding Lori's hands, and it sent a bolt of electrifying sensation down her spine that her heart races non-stop.

As they walked towards the Alpha king's residential palace, Lori was struck by the exterior which is made of gleaming white stone, with intricate carvings and decorations adorning the facade.

As she further through the palace, she was welcomed by the sheer opulence of the furnishings and decorations. The chandeliers hanging from the ceilings are made of the finest crystal, their light refracting and sparkling like diamonds.

They climbed the grand staircase to the entrance, the pairs of imposing double doors made of polished wood, their surfaces gleaming in the sunlight, The walls are adorned with ornate tapestries and paintings, depicting scenes of great beauty and elegance.

"This is beautiful, Your home is beautiful Your Majesty" Lori commented, And Alpha Kai's heart thud by her bright smile and unreal face, This was the first time she was mesmerized in years and the first time a lady would make Alpha Kai's heart thud this fast.

"You can stay in this private chamber, Anything you want; convey to this attendant, it'd be attended to" Alpha Kai said as he left with his guards and attendants.

"Your grace is immeasurable Alpha!" Lori bowed trying so had to contain her excitement, Everywhere Lori looked, there are signs of the palace's sophistication and elegance, to even the private chambers with their plush carpets and sumptuous beddings, She rushed into the room and wheeze in joy as she hurled her body on the bed, it's soothes the skin.

A palace maid was narrating indistinctively to two other female servants as they walked towards Giselle's resident and the three maids were so taken away by the gossips until they accidentally bumped into Giselle and her retinues.

So abruptly the chatty maids all hurled on there knees, "pardon our tradiness and ruckus your highness! " They chorused.

Giselle was so irked, with a furrowed brows and a scowl on her face she hurled a loud dirty slap on all of their faces each,

"How dare these wretched wenches gossip about in my residence and still bump on me, Are they so tired of their jobs?" She yelled so enraged and her body language was tense and defensive.

"Pamela! Lock this wenches in the storage room for three days without food" She called her attendant from her retinues with a very sharp and curt tone.

"They should suffer and learn for their reckless behavior, and whoever the wench the king brought to the palace, Take me to the chamber she was lodged in!" Giselle said tersely and ragefully.

Giselle is Lycaonia Crown Princess and Alpha Kai's bride to be, The daughter of Lycaonia prime minister.

She is a spoilt lady known to be dismissive of others' feelings and opinions, and uses her status to bully and intimidate those who has done the slightest mistake or those she loathed.

She's also so quick to anger and lash out at anyone who displease her, However she shows a different facade of her character in present of Alpha Kai just to gain his love, She could not have a rest of mind immediately she heard Alpha Kai brought a lady to the palace.

"I'd eliminate her if she's a threat to my position! " She vowed as she walked with her retinues to the King's resident, In a corset dressed that almost restrict her breathe flow.
