Chapter 136

“God, if we keep this up, I'll definitely need a wheelchair,” Rose muttered under her breath, twisting her back to see if she could stretch out some of her sore muscles. Zander leaned down and kissed her forehead with a smile.

“I can just carry you?” He offered seriously, already reaching for her. She swatted him away knowing damn well he was secretly pleased by her soreness.

“I'm good, no thanks.” He pouted at her answer and took hold of her hand as they walked down the hall. They were heading down for Zander's meeting with the other Alphas, he said, Rose could come if she wanted to. She just tagged along. She wanted to see how the meeting would go.

Her sensitive ears caught the sound of multiple heartbeats in the one room, the one they were nearing. She could also smell the dominance and tension in the air from all of the Alphas being put together in a small space.
