36. Hidden Legacy

“Good morning, Auntie!” I greeted cheerfully.

Aunt Disa, who was in her room, turned around and gave me a warm smile. I quickly stepped inside and closed the door behind me.

“You weren’t in your room last night,” Aunt Disa said bluntly.

I felt embarrassed and tucked a strand of hair behind my ear.

“Yeah, about that...” I cleared my throat awkwardly. “I was with King Elijah.”

Aunt Disa didn’t say anything; she just made a slight ‘oh’ face before picking up her cup from the coffee table and taking a small sip.

“Did King Elijah tell you about being my tutor?” I asked, trying to change the subject.

“Actually, no. But King Elijah met with me this morning before he left with Beta Vincent.”

Yes, I had overslept because I couldn’t stop making out with the king most of the night. My face immediately heated up. The memories of what we did were still vivid in my mind. It felt like Elijah’s touch was still on me.

“What did he say to you, Auntie?” I asked curiously.

“He asked me to join his pack.
