109. Ambrose's secret place
Analyn POV
I heard what Ambrose was thinking when he held our daughter. They were cruel, terrifying thoughts. He wanted to hurt her or, worse, kill her.
But I hung in there. I knew he would snap out of it eventually because I could hear his inner battle between him and whatever it was that spoke to him. I could feel the pain inside him when he thought about killing his daughter.
That's when I realized he was not all evil, and I could bring him back. I watched him hold her and then put her down. He had a pained expression on his face as if he was ashamed of himself.
He ran off as soon as he saw me. I guess he couldn't face me after thinking those thoughts about our children. The darkness inside him was trying to manipulate him, and it was slowly winning him over. I had to do something before that happened, I couldn't let it win no matter what.
