Chapter 74 Heritage

My father is part of the alpha lineage.

Such a thought never occurred to me. I thought that he was the pack’s beta. My father never displayed or did something that made me think that he was a leader. I look at Jolina. Some part of me thinks that she is lying, but the dreadful look in her eyes tells me that she is not.

“I’ll leave you two alone,” Ajax announces. The door clicks and he soon disappears from the room, leaving me with a bundle of questions that I want to ask Jolina. I have a number of them, but none of which I know how to address.

Jolina notices my discomfort. She shifts on her bed and points at the chair beside her, gesturing for me to sit. If I hadn’t had any questions, I wouldn’t have complied and left, but I wanted to know more about how my father was the alpha.

I pulled up the chair and sat facing her. My mother suddenly looks older than she did when I first met her. She's been stressed for a while now.
