NOVA POV Summer needs to start soon, needing a break from everything. Between the yelling kids and the school board my nerves are shot. They want to change so much for next year’s curriculum, mainly History which is my department and Math. Math is my best friend Vivian’s department, so we have been going to the school board meeting every month. Tonight is the last meeting and there will be parents there, hoping they will have our backs. If we can stop these changes then my summer vacation will be saved and the beach house will be calling my name. If we can’t I will be spending my summer coming up with a new syllabus for next year. The meeting will be starting in about 30 minutes as I pull into the parking lot, there are more cars than usual. NOVA POV The meeting was over an hour long, and all the teachers spoke their peace trying to get them to not change the school curriculum. We all tried to make them understand that what and the way we are teaching now is working. Even a few parents had a few things to say how their kids seemed to be doing better at this school than other schools.
