Gwen's POV

“How is that even possible?” I asked, suddenly baffled. Fear began to creep in, and the trauma of the previous night returned.

"I am sure her father did this. Damn it!" Mr Miller yelled, hitting his hands on the wall. It was literally evident that he was blazing with fury.

“I will talk to the doctor. You must be discharged as soon as possible," he added.

“What? Why?”

Without responding to my questions, he stormed out of the room and smashed the door closed.

Now I was really scared. One second Mr Miller was reassuring me that she would pay for what she did and the next second, she was out of jail.

What kind of influence does she have? This was clearly an attempted murder case, so she should not even be granted bail.

I wanted to call Granny but I couldn't find my phone. I was worried, what if Martha comes to the house again?

She didn't harm them the last time, but what are the chances that she won't this time.
