Chapter 74

Gwen's POV

“Gwen, what are you doing here?” Mr Miller asked in confusion.

"I had not seen you in the house since the morning, and you had not returned my calls," I said, focusing my gaze on Martha, who appeared to be grinning broadly.

"What is she doing here, sir?" I asked Mr Miller, hoping for a reasonable response.

"Don't worry, Sweetheart; I was just leaving," Martha said with a wicked side grin. She picked up her bag and before leaving, she turned to Mr Miller and said "Think about it James."

I could feel myself becoming enraged. Here is the woman that put me in this condition but I couldn't even do anything. I watched her walk away as if nothing had happened. I clenched my fist.

“Come, seat Gwen,” Mr Miller said. It was obvious he had a lot going through his mind. Just by glancing at him, I could tell.

I sat directly across from him, and he instructed the bodyguard to wait outside.

I stared at him, waiting for him to say something, but he was in no hurry to speak.
