Gwen's Pov

I took a deep breath.

“I am not married sir, I mean I was but not anymore” I was trying to hold back the new waves of tears that were forming inside me.

“What happened?” He inquired curiously, his voice barely above a whisper.

No! I wasn't going to talk about this. I was not going to talk about Andrew, not here, not now, or ever.

For all I know, he could be in Elena's arms, and I am here wailing over him like some kind of freak who can not get on with life.

“I would really appreciate it if you let this topic slide tonight”

I observed how his expression changed. It changed from the concern look he had to that of rejection.

“Oh right, I am sorry Gwen, it was not in my place to ask you” He forced a smile on his face.
