The Walk of Shame that I was meant to experience after the first night I spent with Alessandro was only just getting to me at that moment. After we walked past the busy reception where Alessandro got his key card, the silence that found its way to our midst when we entered the elevator made me feel ashamed for some reason I could not decipher.

And that feeling worsened after we walked out and down the corridor towards his room.

But thankfully, after a seemingly long walk, we finally ended up in front of his room. A ting from the door lock led us into the huge room.

Once I stepped into the abode that gave off more of Alessandro’s scent, I raced toward the couch at the other end of the room. It was the seat that was closest to a window. As I settled, I refused to look in Alessandro’s direction. My eyes stayed fixed on the view of the city ahead.

“I need ten minutes,” Alessandro informed me. And I still refused to look at him.
