Lavender's Point Of View:

I stepped into the hall with a huge smile on my face as my beautiful white dress that I was forced to wear, kissed my curves nicely.

It was my 23rd birthday and I was thrown this amazing party. Mum managed to prepare everything perfectly and honestly, I was impressed.

The decorations, the grinning guests, the piano, everything! But something seemed off, everyone was seated at either side of the hall.

I looked forward, only to realize I was the only one on a red carpet with three men waiting at the front of the hall. Two of the men who looked alike were dressed in black suits while one was dressed in a Wine suit.

My eyes scrambled for nothing but Mum's face.

I spotted her seated in a front seat with a forced smile on her face which secretly told me not to waver.

My eyebrows furrowed as I mouthed, “What?". My grasp tightened on my dress, I walked down the red carpet, my legs shaking.

The man in a wine coloured suit began, “Hayden and Jayden. Please take your bride, lavender's hands, and repeat after me.”.

Your bride?!! My eyes flew to Mum's again, questioning her with a nasty glare. She gave me a reassuring smile. The men in black held one of my hands each.

The man in wine turned to one of the men, “Repeat after me. I, Hayden Brille, take you, Lavender Washmin….”

"I, Hayden Brille, take you, Lavender Washmin….” The guy holding my right hand repeated.

“To be my wife, to have and to hold from this day forward….”

Excuse me?! Wife?!!

"To be my wife, to have and to hold from this day forward….”

"For better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death us do part…..”

"For better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death us do part…..”

“According to God's holy ordinance; and therefore I pledge to you my faithfulness.”.

"According to God's holy ordinance; and therefore I pledge to you my faithfulness.”.

The other guy did the same and I was just there, staring into mum's eyes, throwing several questions at her.

“What do you mean it was for the family?!” I raised my voice at Mum who stood before me with a frown on her forehead also.

“We could use the money!" She shouted back.

I sighed, shaking my head, “I am disappointed in you, Mum. How could you have sold me to someone. For fuck's sake, you sold me to twins! Ruthless CEOs!”.

"They offered a billion dollars. As the CEO of our brand, you know our business is NOTHING compared to others’, we would take a lifetime to make a billion, Lavender. Besides, we're investing this money in our business!” She responded.

"I don't fucking give a shit about the stupid business. I was forced to be the heir, after all! And now I'm forced into a marriage with strangers, huh? I wasn't even told! You will never let me make a decision myself, will you?” I yelled back, my voice breaking at each sentence.

She couldn't find her tongue.

“I guess this was the best birthday you promised me, at least you didn't break that promise as it seems to you.” I said, pointing right at her face.

“The business is the last thing your father left, for you, for us!” She argued.

I fought back my tears as I clutched the stupid gown in my fist.

A lady came in through the door, she bowed, “Miss Brille, it's time to leave.” She spoke corporately.

I nodded, taking another glance at Mum before turning to leave. I guess she was now happy to hear me lose our last name.

“See you never, mum." I said before taking quick steps towards the door.

I walked out of event center, letting out the breath I never knew I was even holding back.

I felt tears trickling down my face as I stared at the black shiny car ahead.

I planned to let out my breath, not my tears!

Just how could she fucking do this to me?! How! I thought she wanted the best for me and she loved me.

Yes, I was forced to be the heir but that was okay, that was a responsibility I didn't care about being forced into. But marriage?!! Excuse me!

What the fuck!

Marriage with STRANGERS. Not a contract marriage this time like the ones in romance books. It's a…I didn't even know what it was.

A marriage with strangers not on a normal day that I could call a bad day but on my birthday.

“Let's go into the car, ma'am. Are you okay?” The lady asked nicely.

I abruptly stopped letting out heavy breathes and swallowed hard on my saliva.

I shook my head, wiping my tears quickly as she led me into the car.

I entered the car, squishing myself in the backseat with the twins. Could this day get any worse?

The chauffeur began to drive slowly and as each second swept by, I couldn't help but grasp my dress tighter as fury brewed in me.

“Are you okay?” The one beside me asked.

I sighed at his question. Do I fucking look like I am?! We just got married and you're asking me if I am okay?

“No.”I simply stated, making sure my voice didn't shake.

“Okay.” He responded. Then why did he have to ask me then?!

“How long is our marriage planned to be?” I asked, my voice failing me once more.

“Forever. You were sold, not rented out.”.
