His hands worked like magic. Everywhere he touched, my skin burnt and sparks flew. He touched parts of me that no other living being had ever touched before. His silver eyes which were holding mine had that glimpse of possessiveness as he watched me slowly sinking into that sensual trance his touch never failed to render. “Tonight I’m yours,” he said huskily, his lips were against the soft skin below my ear.
And I could feel his hand with long, lean brown fingers that knew how to be cruel if the moment presented itself slid underneath my t-shirt and moved their way up my back. With his skillful hand, he unhooked my bra. “I need you,” he whispered again as both of his hands explored my skin, caressing, squeezing, and sending fire straight to my core.
“I can tell,” I sighed out pleasurably. He was very aroused, it was as clear as the sky above and I could feel it against my lower abdomen. It was only a few hours since our last sex and yet it already felt like a long time for the two of us. “Show me how much,” I groaned.
He quickly responded. His mouth hungrily covered mine with an ambitious force that had my head thrown back while his arms crushed mine tightly to him. He was alive and wanting, his mouth urgent now as it kissed and sucked and licked and tasted its way across my cheek and jaw while his hand moved lower again. One was cupping my thigh while the other raced its way up to my breast. This was precisely what I needed, what we both needed after all that had happened recently. A release. An epic release.
I was ready to take off and throw away my t-shirt and bra when he suddenly made his way down my body, seemingly having a different plan. His lips kissed my stomach then trailed down my lower abdomen as his hands unbuttoned then pushed my jeans and panties down my thighs all the way to my ankles until they were dropped on the floor. He tilted his head and looked up at me as he leaned forward and kissed the inside of my thigh. “Put your foot on my shoulder,” he said and I quickly did what he asked. He planted another kiss on the other thigh and muttered against my sensitive skin, “I’ve been dreaming about doing this to you for weeks.” He parted my flesh with hand and took me into his hot mouth.
His tongue slid across my slick flesh and he gave me the most incredible oral sex of my entire life. He clearly knew exactly what he was doing because whatever he did, it felt good. So good. His tongue teased, caressed, and kissed like he’d been in the desert for a long time being hot and thirsty, and I was a river. He kept at it until the first wave of hot orgasm started shaking my entire body, sending shock from the top of my head to the top of my toes. I was so close, so close to a release. I closed my eyes and cried out his name in desperation, grasping for that climax that I’d longed for. “I need you, Ry! I’m so close!”
Then everything was black and when I reopened my eyes, I was staring at the empty, dark ceiling. I blinked a few times, my mind was still in a haze and my body was a hot and sweaty mess. I briefly closed my eyes and let my other senses feel everything. My skin was taut — almost as if he’d truly been here and touching me, and I didn’t have to slide my hand down my pants to know that I’d creamed myself. Gosh, all of that over a dream. A fucking dream. Albeit a good one, it was still a dream nonetheless. Not the real thing. “Where are you, Ry?” I muttered to no one as my grip on his blanket tightened.
It had only been two weeks since my mate, Ryker Cromwell — the Alpha of one of the strongest packs, The Ethereal, had rejected me as his mate and left his pack to his Beta, Dmitry Vashkov. I’d later found out that during the last battle with neighboring pack, The Night Walkers, he’d been wounded by an ancient sword which caused him to be infected by ‘Mad Wolf’. A rare, mythical disease that would drive wolves mad to the point where they would drink their mate’s blood dry and eat their heart and die upon the realization of what they’d done.
I knew it was a scary thing and he’d left in order to protect me but I didn’t appreciate his action at all. No, I was pissed off. How could he run away? Did he think that I wouldn’t be able to handle his condition? That I wouldn’t be able to protect myself from him? I was a freaking sorceress for goodness sake! I’d done the impossible like bringing my best friend, Eros’s memory back after he was being hexed by an evil witch, Adelina, and making people tell the truth by messing with their heads. I could even manage to lock away his evil ex-girlfriend’s conscience so that her wolf could take over the body. So yes, I found his action to be condescending and cowardly. Instead of finding the cure together, he’d chosen to run. Not only that, he’d spent a passionate night with me then left me to wake up alone and find out about his rejection through a piece of paper that he’d given to his Beta.
If I could find him, I’d be sure to give him a piece of mind while holding him upside down in the air for all the things he’d put me through. The last two weeks had been horrible, I’d been a pity case for all people I knew including his beta and my best friend. It didn’t help that when I walked around our territory, the North, everyone gave me a sad look as if telling me about how pathetic I was being the unwanted human mate, the one that their Alpha had to run away from. It was humiliating and the only reason I hadn’t turned them to frogs or pumpkins was because I didn’t want to reveal my power. Some of them who’d fought the Night Walkers with me knew about it but even they kept it a secret. It was best not to draw attention especially when our pack had no alpha.
Despite Ryker’s request to have his beta as the new Alpha, Dmitry had declined and gone so far as not letting anyone call him Alpha Dmitry. He still went by Beta Vashkov although he’d pretty much taken over all of Ryker’s duties.
Taking a deep breath, I reopened my eyes and sat on the bed. With a flick of one hand, I summoned a ball of red smoke that grabbed the book from a table a few feet away from me and brought it to my lap. I flipped through the pages until I found one page that contained a little piece of information on Mad Wolf. The tip of my finger traced the picture of the sword as I read the same three paragraphs that I’d been reading for more than five dozen times.
Without looking up, I used my free hand to summon another ball of smoke that brought the Book of the Damned from inside the cupboard where I’d hidden it to the spot next to my right thigh. “How do one cure Mad Wolf?” I whispered as I touched the book’s spine, hoping that the book would open without its lost key and yet again, it was merely wishful thinking. The book wouldn’t budge. Nothing happened. Everything was quiet and still for a moment.
Just a split moment before a knock from the door jolted me, causing my leg to kick the book off the bed and to the floor. The Book of the Damned flickered for a moment and I swore I could see the front cover flip opened a tiniest bit, enough to fuel my hope back up.
It was a normal Friday and I was working at the cafe as a waitress. The day was rather slow and as I was cleaning the front window glass, I let my mind mull over what had happened for the last two months. To be fair, there had been tons of things. Two months ago I’d gone to a wedding with my boyfriend at that time only to have the groom, Ryker, turned to me and claimed me to be his soulmate and the love of his life. I’d gotten dumped by my boyfriend right at the spot and a few days later, I’d learned that there were creatures other than humans living on Earth and Ryker being one of them. Werewolves, witches, warlocks, and god knows what else truly existed and were hidden in the shadows. Then to take it up on a higher level of shock, I’d found out that my own father and my best friend were also werewolves. My father was a rogue, kicked out of his pack after killing his mate, my mother. Eros was actually sent by their alpha to mo
It was late in the afternoon when I’d parked my motorcycle in the garage and took off my helmet. Monday was a busy day but luckily I only worked for a couple of hours especially since my finals would come soon and I’d need time to prepare for them. My boss was more than okay with it — I was guessing that he could tell something was off with me and that I needed some time off. After all, since that odd encounter with Ryker a few days ago, the thought of him and the feel of his touch lingered longer than usual, occupying my thoughts almost every hour of the day. I fondled the keychain that Ryker had once given me before pulling the key out and sticking them inside my pocket. With my backpack slung on one shoulder, I walked through the adjoined door that connected the garage to the packhouse. Surprisingly enough, someone must’ve forgotten to turn on the light because everything was dark. At least for a
It was odd to look my dad in the eye and not recognize him. He looked every bit the same, saved for the beard that he hadn’t had before. There was this haunted look on his face as if he’d seen terror and actually lived it. It made me wonder what had happened these past few months. “Dad?” I greeted him as I stepped into the room and approached him. He looked up and immediately stood from where he was sitting. “Xyrra.” Despite everything else that felt different, the way he called my name hadn’t changed at all. I rushed to him, throwing my arms around him and burying my face in his chest. “Dad.” “I missed you, Sweetie.” He kissed the top of my head and breathed in. “So so much. You have no idea.” I pulled away slightly, my eyes searching for his. “Then why did you leave?” “Because you’re in good hands. Alpha Ryker is a strong man, and I knew he’d protect you no matter what because you’re his mate. With Atlas being uncontrolla

Having my dad around did make it easier, although he was still wary of me. I guessed he was still trying to make peace with the fact that I was a sorceress, someone who was capable of doing malicious, cruel, and unspeakable things. But for the other part that recently discovered a side of me, he was sincerely happy. I could see it in his eyes and felt it whenever he was telling me all sorts of things that a wolf could do and what it meant to be a wolf. In all honesty, I appreciated everything that he taught me. However, I didn’t think I’d like to go through the transforming process even though he’d indeed said that it wou
There was no mark. He hadn’t marked me. He’d bitten and he sucked my blood but that was it. It left me more confused than if he’d marked me. Eros had taken me back to the Ethereal’s packhouse about an hour ago. Despite what I’d told him, he didn’t believe that Ryker had indeed come and that he’d bitten me. The fact that the wound had healed itself by the time Eros had found me on the bathroom floor didn’t help, either. “Why can’t you believe me?” I breathed out and sagged on the couch. “He was there. He bit me and drank my blood. Why else would I be passing out in the bathroom?” “Maybe you had too much to drink.” My best friend annoyingly shrugged and, at this moment, I wanted nothing but to throw something at him. Anything. He seemed to realize that too, as he took a seat next to me and held my hand. “Look, Xy, Ryker is no longer in Europe. The pack at the border saw him leave when he nearly crossed their territory. There was no way that it was Ryker.” E
It took everything in me not to blast my power and erase her existence. A part of me wished that I could turn back time and not see that mark on her shoulder. Perhaps if that was the case, I wouldn’t have to hear her talking about her and Ryker. I wished I could erase that part of my memory so that my chest wouldn’t feel all the pain I was currently feeling. I did my best to shove those aching away and focused on Adelina instead. She could be lying for all I knew. It was possible that she’d simply had rough sex with a wolf that wasn’t Ryker and she’d only said that to piss me off because she knew she couldn’t possibly fight me and win. My thoughts must be apparent on my face because the next second Adelina opened her mouth and informed me all the details about her so-called night with Ryker. “He’s big, I have to say. I thought I wouldn’t be able to handle him.” Adelina let out a small giggle, which didn’t suit her at all as she was fifteen years older than any school girl. “But d
I shoved that thought away. It was lucidly impossible. My dad had told me what had happened that night. There had been at least a dozen of the Erebus’s members who witnessed my mother’s body being torn apart. Then there were those ladies who’d cleaned her body for burial, too. Hell, my dad was going to take me to her grave this weekend. The book must have been wrong, or there was another witch named Gaia Delvaux that wasn’t my mother. Once I calmed myself down, I continued searching for any information about ‘Mad Wolf’ that I eventually stumbled upon one page that was filled with the Greek alphabet, albeit there was only one paragraph in it. There wasn’t a single Latin word on this page. Mad Wolf is a rare, mythical disease that will drive the wolf crazy to the point where he/she will eat their mate and then die upon the realization of what they’d done. This disease was caused by the Sword of Damocles. I picked up my phone again and searched for a
Dmitry rarely called my name, but when he’d done it, there hadn’t been any emotion there, almost as if an AI was told to pronounce my name. Yet this time, he did it so softly and with his hand touching my face; I had to admit that I was shitting my pants right now. My mind kept telling me that this was Dmitry and Dmitry Vashkov was more like a walking robot than a human being. I recovered from the shock quicker than if it was Ryker who was in such close proximity to me and I had to assume that it was because Dmitry wasn’t my mate. “As in a prince of a wolf nation or something?” I pulled back a little and frowned. My mind speedily caught up on the issue that I’d been wanting to ask about for days now. This time, it wasn’t about Dmitry. It was about me. “Then would you be able to explain why my wolf showed up one time then disappeared to god knows where?” “Not exactly,” he said after a short while. “When was the last time you shifted?” “Since

Dear Gentle Readers, How art thou? I am mostly exhausted right now. But it is totally worth it. Can you believe that this story has finally come to an end? I would like to say a massive thank you for the support that you all have given to this book and other books. Your love and support have always been the key success of this story. Reading your comments, your reviews, and your anticipation for the next chapters have driven me to write and complete these two books: Taming The Wild Alpha and Mad Wolf. It is certainly possible that I will write another book to this “supposedly-duo-logy” and turned it into a “trilogy” instead (I dare say that I am most tempted to do it now, to be honest). After all, even though this book has no massive readership amount like my other book (aka Taming The Wild CEO), I interact more with all of you here in the comment section of this book and also on social media (I still get excited like a kid on Christmas morning every time I get a direct message fro
Even though Ryker seemed alright and that his wound had truly healed, I still urged him to check into the hospital the next day. I knew people would think I was being ridiculous especially since I was a sorceress so I should believe in magical things but still, I didn’t want to take any chances. Not when it came to him. After breakfast Dmitry was taking him to the hospital for a medical check up. While they were gone, I went back to our room which was previously Ryker’s room, and sat on the sofa by the window. There were still a lot of things to figure out and right now, all I wanted was to talk with Seymour. ‘Well, I am right here.’ It was clear as the sky above that the more I used the magic, the more it took a toll on both of us, more to Seymour than me which was why she hadn’t shown herself for ages. I vaguely recalled what Seymour had said to me that night, “Magic might not take a toll directly on you but it does on me.” ‘It definitely did. Look, the only reason I came bac
X Y R R A ’ S P O V There was a time in someone’s life where they realized that they hit rock bottom. Some people would cry, regret things that they’d done in the past, and succumb to depression. However, there were people who had a different perspective about it and told themselves, ‘I hit rock bottom, there’s nothing worse than this, so I’m gonna fight no matter what the outcomes because worst case scenario, it can’t get worse than this but on the other hand, best case scenario, I might come on top’. Reading the scrolls that Alpha Damien had shown me, I knew that this was my rock bottom right here. Everything he’d said was the truth. The cure for the Mad Wolf disease was ‘love’. One simple word that could be described in thousands, perceived differently by every person on Earth, and certainly wasn’t a tangible thing to begin with. Hence my current predicament. As the Elderlies — a group of people who’d studied Greek ancient history for decades — were looking for more informatio
Xyrra’s POV It took us two solid hours to get to the border between the North and the West. Dmitry had informed our patrol beforehand that we were going to come through so the three wolves that were there merely gave us a nod and let us pass. Obviously, the issue wasn’t our own patrol but it was whether the Night Walkers’ patrol would let us pass. They would see us as a threat the second we crossed their borders especially since we had no appointment with them. I did ask Ryker and Dmitry whether we should alert the Night Walkers beforehand but they both said that it was best for us to come there this instant and worry about the rest later because, unlike the Erebus who might accept a courtesy phone call, the Night Walkers chose to live in solitude and the only time we would ever come across them was during a yearly Alpha meeting. As soon as Ryker, Eros, Dmitry, and I crossed the small river that was supposedly divided the North from the West, three wolves literally jumped into our p
Ryker’s Standpoint While everyone was resting, I made my way out of the back door and walked toward the lake. Each step I took almost felt like the last time I’d been here. They were all so familiar. Being here right now felt familiar and yet horrifying at the same time because I knew that I wasn’t truly fine. I knew it like the back of my hand that I could flip any time. Looking down, I held the ring on my finger with my thumb and forefinger, rolling it on my ring finger. This thing albeit small had literally kept me sane. The real question was: for how long? How much longer before I truly lost it? How much time do I have left? I could tell that currently, the magic was leaking quicker than it had before judging by how frequently Xyrra needed to infuse more spells into it. She might not tell me but I could tell. It was only a matter of time before this thing could no longer hold the madness inside my head anymore and I feared that that day might happen sooner than I would’ve wante
Fortunately, there was no hiccup in our journey back to the North. The weather seemed to be in our favor as well which was a blessing really since England’s sky could have the most horrific weather possible. I hadn’t informed Dmitry or Trish or Miles simply because I wanted it to be a surprise. I parked my motorcycle in front of the packhouse and took off my helmet. I swung my leg and stood by my bike as I waited for the boys. Ryker’s car came to view and he parked right next to my bike. Eros’s black sports car joined us a mere seconds later. They both got out of the car but only Ryker was following me to the porch. I turned around and eyed my best friend, feeling rather confused. “Er, are you not coming with us inside?” He shook his head, still dangling around his car. I turned to Ryker. “You go in first. I’ll talk to him before joining you in a wee bit.” Ryker gave me a pat on the shoulder. “Wish me luck. I hope they would let me speak first before jumping on me or shooting me

I wasn’t about to leave my baby alone here in London. Their second suggestion was to let either Ryker or Eros ride my motorcycle while I rode in their car. I also declined that one so in the end, both Ryker and Eros brought their car while I rode my baby. We made a stop in the motel along the way. At first, I thought that we all would cramp into one bedroom but Eros, who had gone to the receptionist and made the arrangement, came back with two keys. He tossed one key to Ryker and winked at me before heading toward his own room. “Enjoy your early honeymoon, mates!” he teased u
