Chapter 2

At the Airport:

Kate finished checking in her luggage and decided to look for a place to sit since she still has 2 hours to wait. She wandered around trying to find a place to sit but all seats are occupied. She decided to continuously walking when she heard her stomach growling. She remembers she didn’t put anything in her stomach since morning. She just jumped into the shower room soon as she woke up and packed up her stuff. Kate glanced at her watch and saw its past 3:00 p.m. so she decided to find a coffee shop and grab a bite. Luckily she found a spot at the coffee shop with 2 chairs.

Finally, after long walk, she said to herself. She was just settling in when a waiter came. She ordered her favorite a cup of tea and a piece of cake. Her order didn’t take long and it came right away.  Kate was enjoying her food while reading her favorite book when a man approached her.

Hi, would you mind if I share the table with you?

Kate looked up at the tall, blue-eyed handsome man with cute dimples smiling at her waiting for her answer. Kate almost chokes but she composed herself and answered the man. No not at all. Please, she held her hand pointing to the seat across her.

Thank you. I’m Jake by the way, he holds out his hand.

I’m Kate and she shook his hand.

Nice to meet you Kate, Jake said with his cute dimples out again. Nice to meet you Jake, Kate said with a little smile. Jake sat down and ordered a cup of tea and a piece of cake as well and Kate went back to her food.

While eating, Jake cannot stop himself to look at Kate. He got mesmerized by Kate’s beauty.

I didn’t know I would see her today but I remember her face during the interview. I have seen a lot of beautiful faces but her beauty is exceptional. Her face is still the same when I first saw her during the interview. Her beautiful face, Her hazel eyes are so mesmerizing. Her face is like an angel and her lips are red, her sundry brown hair looks so perfect in her skin tone. Tall and a slender body.

Kate caught Jake looking at her but she shrugged it off like she didn’t care. She’s trying to stop herself not to show any feelings to this stranger. So she continued eating and when she finished she packed up her stuff and decided to leave. Jake was about to say something but she didn’t let him speak, instead she said “excuse me I have to go, nice meeting you by the way and she left.

This man’s face is familiar but I couldn’t remember where did I meet him. But I hate it when a man is acting weird like that. He is staring at me like he will make me melt at his sight. He thought that I will not catch him.  I know he’s damn handsome but I don’t care. The way he stared at me is really annoying.

Good that I was able to control myself and left normally like what he was doing didn’t really matter. I better to find a place to sit.

For Jake, this lady is totally different from the other ladies I met. She seem so aloof.

Damn it. I should learn how to control myself... But who can control himself in front of that lady? She’s so damn hot and beautiful. I must have annoyed or offended her. I need to apologize to her.

While Jake was left off thinking on his next move, Kate decided to go back to the place near to the gate so that it will be easier for her and not to miss the flight. Luckily she found a seat and she settled in. She took out her book about the Flight Attendant and she continued reading it. While reading, she couldn’t even focus on the book. Jake’s face kept popping through her mind.

Ahh, I hate this. Why Jake’s face keeps coming through my head. His face is so familiar but I cannot remember where I saw him. His blue eyes are mesmerizing and his dimples are so cute. Stop it Kate! This is not the right time to think about this man. I thought you hate men and you should focus on your first job, Kate said to herself.

While busy with her thoughts, the operator has announced that the gate is opened so she picked up her bag and head to the gate.
