Chapter 6:: Back to school

It all happened in Transylvania, my grandfather (Overlord Zoe) who was then the overlord of Transylvania, he had 3 children, Hymas (my father's older brother), my father (Dracula) and Devon (my father's younger brother), their father needed a successor, and in other to do that, he had to set a competition to decide the rightful heir to the throne, he had tested them based on their skills/physical abilities, morals, commitment and interaction with others/leardership

Amongst the tests given were; fighting combat, which Hymas excelled at, they were give the opportunity to rule Transylvania for a year,  which my dad did best, Transylvanians loved him because he was very friendly, and the last tournament was to go into the New world, observe and study the environment for 4years, and bring the report back to the overlord 

Everyone had gone their separate ways, into the New world, there my dad met a Mortal being, a dweller of Earth Realm, her name was Katherine, their bond had grew stronger together,  she showed my dad many places, they shared their secrets with each other, dad's own was that he was a vampire, and he was sent to the New world for a test, while her's was that she was an assassin, together with her gang,  they assassinate Government officials or fellow Citizens for money being payed by people who wanted them dead,  she had given her life to Christ and had become a reporter 

My dad narrated everything he new about Transylvania to her, as at then, my dad was married to a werewolf (my mom) and I was a 50 years old vamp-wolf, dad and Katherine spent lot of time together, it was a Friday night, after they had returned from the Central museum, standing outside throwing a glance at each other, my dad went on his knees, proposed to her, and she accepted, it was just 8 days before they return to Transylvania, Dad and step-mom had done a little marriage 4 days to go. It was celebrated on a low key, my dad knew no one but his brothers, and they were in different continents, my dad was in Asia, Hymas was in Europe while Devon was in Africa, so my step-mom invited some of her friends 

It was time for departure, they bided each other goodbye and parted ways, my dad and his siblings converged at the location they had diverged from the first time

They returned home, each with their reports to their father, of all the results, Hymas came outstanding, he was to be inaugurated 3 weeks later, but the unfortunate happened; the three brothers had gone for battle, together with the overlord, which Hymas was the General of the Army, they had gone to fight against the ruler and dwellers of Truronda kingdom, whom had invaded Transylvania, they conquered the people of Truronda, but the unusual happened

Syrux who was the Iractor (Ruler) of Truronda, had gone to the forbidden sea to enchant himself, he knows that vampires regenerate very fast, and they (Trurondans) were goblins with enormous ability, but with the help of the river, any weapon dipped in the sea, kills any being irrespective of the ability, during the last fight between; my grand father, Hymas, Dracula and Devon, against; Syrux, Juntu (commander of Truronda) and Necto, Syrux had stapped the overlord, thus making my dad and uncles ranged with anger, Hymas retaliated, he was a very skilled vampire, but he gave up the ghost after successfully killing Juntu and Necto, it was remaining my dad, Devon and Syrux on the battle field, they joined hands together in eliminating Syrux which they did, but before kicking the bucket, Syrux pulled out a pocket knife from his suit and threw it towards my dad, Devon who quick to see the danger, pushed my dad away and collected the shot, it was a very bittered day for my dad, as he lost some of his family, his mom; (Queen Zina) had died by nature 10 years ago, now his father and siblings followed suit

He took their bodies home, the burial and mourning activities lasted for about 6 months, after which my dad was crowned the new overlord of Transylvania, he had ordered his men to invade Truronda which they did, he thought of what to do with them, so he merged the kingdom with Transylvania

Months later my dad had settled down, he frequently teleported to Asia to see his newly wedded wife, they had fun together, he also narrated the happenings of the previous months to Katherine, That year Tania (my mom) gave birth so did Katherine, my mom gave birth to my little sister Annabelle, while Katherine gave birth to my step brother Troy, my day became very excited, his happiness knew no bound 12 years in the Old world is equivalent to a year in the New world, Katherine and Troy had departed to New York City for settlement, 

60 years later in Judi Realm and 5 years later in Earth Realm, I was 108 years then (9 years old) while Anna was 60 (5 years old) together with Troy, my dad told us about Troy and his mom, he also went as far as describing the beauty of my step mom which made my mom jealous, my dad usually visits Katherine 4 times a month, that is the beginning of every week, briefing her about his weekly encounters in Transylvania, and also check on his little son. Troy was a very intelligent boy, he goes to school on a daily, unlike us who knew nothing about schooling but martial arts, having fun and playing all through

Katherine had gathered all informations, wrote them as a play, gave them to movie producers for publishing, so the person responsible for the movie "Dracula" was my father's second wife and also my step mom Katherine

#Reality#

I and Jessy enquired for the address of the authoress, but unfortunately, it was reported that she had died of cancer 2 months ago, but her child Troy is still in town, living with his uncle (Katherine's brother) no one in the theatre knew were they stayed, but the fact that he is here in New York gives us big chance of finding him easily, my father being a vampire and Katherine being a mortal human, makes Troy a half breed vampire with limitations to his abilities

It was approaching dusk,  so we departed back home, without completing the supposed mission, which was to find Troy's crib. Jessy and I together with Linx, Dexter, Tessa and Anna had boarded a cab back home, but on getting there, we experienced a ghastly accident, which led to sustainment of injuries among individuals,  during the investigation, it was discovered that a woman was laying lifeless on the road, which made drivers go unconscious, loosing hold of their breaks in other not to crush the dead body 

Six men in black came out of a white van to investigate the cause if the accident, it was then I realized that the head of the investigating team was the man I had encountered in the Central hospital storage room, he noticed the same fangs on the woman's, similar to the one he saw when Linx entatained himself the other day, which made him more curious as to what and who did it, interrogating more witnesses 

"Hey man, have any idea on what attacked this woman? Prosecutor John enquired 

"It was some sort of human covered in animal fur" witness 1 answered 

"Yes, it wondered from shade to shade, when the sun had taken its shift for the moon the resume duty, the being struck this woman down, snapping her neck before devouring her blood" witnesses 2 added

"Alright guys, thanks for the information, hey you, get this dead body into the van, we just found more evidence" Prosecutor John said,  pointing at his aides, after which he smirked and rubbed his palm against each other 

My squad and I became frightened as to what had made him smirked, we wondered as we boarded another cab home
