Chapter 2: Disappearance of Linx

It was a Saturday morning, the cloud had began to pour down its tears massively, we assisted our new guardians with the house chores, thus it was allocated to us, I was in charge of cleaning the bed rooms and the sitting room, while Linx was in charge of clearing and harvesting of the fruit, food stuffs and vegetables in the garden, but since it was raining, it was his  day off, Dexter was in charge of laundry, as they have an electric washing machine to ease labour, While Jessy, Anna and Tessy where in charge of cooking, meanwhile Jessy and Tessa had gone to the super market to get some food stuff amidst the rain, while Anna waited for their arrival she was a novice in cooking, she and Tessa still had much to learn about cooking, and also adapt to human lifestyle. Hours later, Jessy and Tessa arrived with the goods they purchased, their clothes were all soaked with water, which washed off the chemical on Tessa's bracelet, but she didn't notice, Mr and Mrs Wilson had left the house very early in the morning as they were both average business people who struggle to make a living.

Soon enough the rain stopped and the food was ready, it turned out to be an American dish I knew not of.

"Please what's this? We asked starring at the dish, Jessy laughed to the question, it was no big deal, but my to my greatest surprise, Anna and Tessa joined her, I thou they've eaten elsewhere

"it called pizza, its a great source protein and vitamin, it contains cheese which is very nutritious to the body" Jessy replied while still laughing with the girls

"Cut the chatter" I said facing Anna and Tessa,

"Oh well am off to the dining room" I said stuffing the so called pizza in my mouth, Linx and Dexter followed suit, but Linx didn't take his dish, so I questioned him;

"Hey mate, aren't you hungry? Pick of your food man, you don't wanna starve do you? I said while I enjoyed mine

"Off cause I'm hungry, but not for this" Linx said pissed off while pointing at my dish

"Then what? I asked as the entered the dining room

"I NEED BLOOD, I NEED MORE ENERGY" Linx replied as white fangs popped out and his eyes became red and swollen, before I could say another word, Linx vamp sped out of the house, I tried to follow him, but I couldn't catch up, as he is a hundred years older than I am

It got to a point he stopped, because we had gotten to an open area, He turned left, he saw two men bringing and injured patient out of an ambulance, the sight of blood made him feel relieved.

"Blood" Linx clamoured as all eyes around were on Linx, I noticed him trying to hide himself from sun rays, I took a look at his bracelet, I was getting dried, so was mine, we took shelter at the nearest shade, I told him to wait there while I vamp sped home to acidify our bracelets

"Linx!! Listen up, give me your bracelet while to speed back home to acidify our bracelets" I told Linx while I sneaked out carefully ensuring no one was watching before I vamp sped home to fortify our bracelets.

"Bad new guys, our bracelets ran out of Acry... (Anna cuts me shut)...

" Acrylic Phenol right? (Name of the chemical Jessica prepared to help us resist the urge for blood feasting and also enable us walk freely during the day time) Anna said pointing at Tessy, she got really burnt due to her bracelet that got washed as a result of the rain that fell earlier today, I quickly rushed towards Tessa, she is a younger vampire compared to us so it will take her time before she fully regenerate, so I aided her by biting my arm, blood gushed out of it, I gave it to her to drink, healing her faster (Vampire bloods heal but older vampire bloods heals faster depending on the age), her body healed in no time

"We really need a permanent end to this I said as I vamp sped back to Linx, surprisedly, he was not there, I quickly flashed back, just the I remembered that he was pursuing blood, I asked passersby I met in the street for enquiry

"Please excuse me, did any of you per chance see a huge man putting on Blue T-shirt with white strips? I asked the two young men I saw along the road

"No sir, I just got here" the first man answered walking away,

"How about you? I said gripping him the his shirt

"No sir" he replied like someone who had seen a ghost

"How about the injured patient that was brought here a while ago by a red ambulance, any ideas on where he was taken? I continued asking still holding his shirt

"Hmm, he was taken to the central hospital, it just few blocks from here" he replied releasing himself off my grip, then ran away, I quickly ran to the central hospital  there I found Linx, he was in the blood storage room consuming blood as he pleased, he had even killed two nurses with the aim of sucking their bloods

"What have you done? You could get us in trouble, you even killed these innocent nurses" I grasped with fear from being noticed by the security guard or even caught by the CCTV cameras

"And so? Linx replied seeing no point in what I just said to him, He saw his bracelet with me, he snatched it from me then he shifted to another human form as we heard the sound of alarm beeping, he quickly vamp sped out of the room, only then did I realise I was left in trouble, I too shape shifted, I took the form of a female nurse, I quickly rubbed the leftover  blood over my body, when the security men arrived I manipulated them

"Hey did you see two men here? The detective asked furiously while starring at me

"Yes sir, they killed my fellow colleagues, they were about to go for me but then they heard you coming then they fled" I lied to them just to cover up for Linx's mischief

"Alright then, get yourself cleaned up, you take these dead fellows to the investigating room, we've got some work to do here" the detective said to his aides pointing at the lifeless bodies leaving me behind in the storage room

"Pheww, that was close" I said within, I quickly left the hospital, shape shifted back to my previous form
