CHAPTER 87: WELL-DONE

“Haishh, damn, it’s getting too cold,” grumbled a slightly middle-aged lady as she stood at a bus station surrounded by strangers.

“Come on, mum. Didn’t I warn you before we went that this trip would be dangerous for you?” As the middle-aged lady reproached her quietly, a younger lady approached her.

The elder lady scoffed at the younger one, saying, “umphh, who knows what more tricks you youngsters will pull if I don’t come along?”

“Fine, fine,” the younger lady said weakly, taking her hands in her small ones. “Because we are here, please suffer with the cold for a little time. Brother will be right over.”

When she heard this, the middle-aged lady smiled and gazed warmly at her daughter, asking, “How long will it take?” Her frustrations vanished the moment she learned about her son.

The lady’s daughter appeared to be used to this, and she smiled at her mother as she replied, “there was a problem at work earlier, but he said that he is already nearby. So, let’s just wait a few minutes
