Chapter 86

Maya's POV

My eyes fluttered open to a dark room and I quickly scrambled up to my feet.

"Shit!". I groaned when I immediately fell to the ground, my head spinning like I had just drank twenty gallons of vodka.

I tried to sit up this time but my head still hurt like hell.

I held my head in my hands, trying to stabilize my dizzy head.

I looked up when I started gaining a bit of control.

Where was I?

I wondered, trying to look around as I ignored the pounding pain between my eyes and at the back of my head.

I tried to recall how I had gotten here but I kept coming up with a blank.

I began to massage my temple and head, trying to ease the pain.

Just then the memories of what had happened came flooding to the surface.

I remember after the fight with my aunt I had stormed upstairs and into my room to find Juliet sitting on my bed and then the white handkerchief they'd pressed against my nose that had instantly paralyzed me.
