Chapter 7: The Mafia Doctor

2023

In the cold, quiet night, a black BMW XM navigated the dimly lit streets of Cuba.  Inside, Williams Stone sat calmly, his gaze fixed on the road ahead. The city's dark glow cast a shadow on half of his chiseled features, giving him an eerie appearance.  The car slowed to a stop in front of an abandoned warehouse on the city's outskirts. Williams stepped out, his long black coat swaying slightly in the wind. With his hands in his pocket, he stood for a moment. Almost immediately, three imposing figures emerged from the shadows, their footsteps echoing in the silence of the night.

"Do you have it?" Williams asked, his voice calm and authoritative.

The men nodded, dropping two duffel bags on the floor.

“Open it,” Williams commanded calmly. One of the men opened the bags, revealing specially designed capsules that concealed highly sought-after narcotics.

Williams was able to establish a drug trade network through his medical connection, which has generated massive profits for the scorpiono mafia operation. Following his father's passing, Williams Stone returned to Cuba, the place where he had completed his medical residency, to start his medical career in full. He took over the role of Don of the scorpiono mafias playing a role here in Cuba by shipping highly sought-after drugs to Mexico, where the rest of the team sells them. He works hand in hand with his consiglere. Despite his suspicions about him, the two make a great partnership.

“How many capsule pills are here?” he asked the trio, his fingers tracing the outline of the gun tucked in his pockets, already feeling the need for it.

“Th…there are 50 pills, sir," the man on the left stammered, his nerves on edge.

“We agreed on 100, didn't we?" Williams' voice grew colder as he pressed the issue. Slowly, he pulled his gun out and repeated his question.

"The deal was for 100, wasn't it?"

"It was," the man began, his explanation faltering, "but these drugs are scarce, and the 'Gray Mob' also needed a supply and..."

"Bang,"  the sharp crack of a gunshot fired at his leg, interrupting whatever it was he had left to say.

“Ahhh!!!” He screamed in pain and crumpled to the ground, clutching his bleeding leg.

Quickly, the man on the right brought out a gun, but Williams was quicker. With precision, he kicked the weapon from the man's grip, and delivered a crushing blow to his stomach that sent him sprawling to the floor.

Driven by desperation, the last man standing reached for a discarded stick in an attempt to knock Williams down.

"I wouldn't try that if I were you," Williams warned.

The man froze, his arm suspended in mid-air, before slowly dropping the stick and sinking to his knees. It was clear that he was no match for the Williams Stone.

"We'll bring the hundred pills by tomorrow," he cried, his voice quivering with fear.

William Stone towered over him, casting a foreboding shadow.

"You better. Or you won't live to see the next sunset," he threatened, his tone leaving no room for doubt.

He walked out of the building and back to his car. He'd have a busy time the next day.

Williams woke up to a beautiful August morning, exactly 6 months after Richard Stone’s funeral, Even though the pain of his father's passing still lingered, Williams knew he had to move on.

“Never let your grief hold you captive. Life is too brief to be defined by sorrow." He remembered his father's precise words.

He got dressed and headed to his hospital, the Maria Medical Hospital. The establishment he had proudly named in honor of his late mother.

He felt a great sense of achievement as he walked in. Since his mother died of cancer. He made up his mind to find a cure, and he did.

After he discovered the cure for end-stage cancer and built this hospital, every doctor and nurse begged to work here.

He got into his office and settled into his chair. Just as he began to immerse himself in the details of his patients' diagnosis, there was a gentle knock on the door, followed by the creak of the door opening, revealing his personal assistant, Sandra.

A tall and striking blonde woman.

Good morning, boss," Sandra greeted with a smile.

Williams simply nodded in response, his attention still focusing on the task at hand.

Sandra approached his desk, placing a magazine before him.

"How do you manage to look so good both in real life and in pictures?" she inquired, a hint of amusement in her tone.

Her words drew Williams' gaze to the magazine cover, which bore his own image.

"You're on the cover of this month's best-selling magazine," Sandra continued, a hint of pride coloring her voice.

The headline read, "Young Doctor and Owner of The Maria Medical Hospital Discovers Cure for End-Stage Cancer.”

““That's not new,” he remarked stoically.

Sandra shot him a look, though she was unfazed by her boss's indifference; he could be like this sometimes."

"Well, what's new is that, after selling over a million copies, our clientele has skyrocketed from all over the world." She said, pride evident in her tone as she spoke of the hospital's success.

"Yeah, I can see that," Williams acknowledged, his voice still devoid of emotion.

Sandra, used to her boss's blunt demeanor, continued

"Anyway, we have a VIP patient arriving tomorrow."

Williams' interest piqued. “Really? What does his diagnosis say?" Williams inquired.

"That's the thing," Sandra replied. "He made the payment without providing any diagnostic results."

Intrigued, Williams asked, "How much did he pay?"

"He paid double your usual f*e upfront," Sandra revealed. "He needs immediate treatment, and he insists that you treat him directly."

"I see," Williams mused, his interest piqued.

"Let me see his details."

Sandra shook her head.

"I wasn't given much information. It's supposedly a secret treatment case."

"Interesting," Williams repeated, his curiosity growing.

"At least he provided a name, right?"

"Yes, that and the time he'll be here," Sandra confirmed. ”

“He goes by Mr. D.B Graciano”
