In the dimly lit room of a hidden bar within the local tavern, the Double Axe Mob held their usual meeting. The only thing unusual was the reduced number of members.
"I lost six of my men that night because of those damned Scorpionos," D-Black growled, remembering with regret the night he sent his men against Richard Stone.
"No matter how many times I think of that night, some things just don't add up," Matteo said, sipping his tequila. "Bill is, by the way, the best driver ever." Do you really think he'd be reckless enough to fall in a ditch?"
"It's crazy, though, what are you implying?" That someone sabotaged the car?" Sebastian questioned.
"Think about it," Matteo pressed. "Why wasn't Salvatore in the car with them?"
"He wasn’t supposed to be," Carlos interjected. "We only wanted Richard Stone."
"Exactly," Matteo continued. "It gave him the perfect opportunity to sabotage the car."
"We can't be sure of that," Diego countered, puffing a cigarette. "But the whole situation is suspicious, not gonna lie."
"Yeah, we've all seen Bill handle police chases and even wild stunts. Nahh, falling in a ditch isn’t just him," Eduardo agreed.
"Exactly," Matteo said, leaning forward. "I bet Salvatore used his boss to set us up."
"I don't know... it doesn’t add up," Carlos said, shaking his head. "He was trying to help us."
"Don't you get it, Carl?" Matteo shouted. "He helped us to kill us!"
"You are right. I say we take our revenge," Eduardo chimed in. "It's been six months. It’s about time."
"Enough!" D-Black's voice cut through the noise, commanding their attention. "It’s not time until I say it’s time."
They all regained their composure. "Whether Salvatore messed with the car or not, the Scorpionos have always been bad news,” D-Black said, remembering what had happened years back.
"But our moves must be calculated," D-Black warned. "We can’t underestimate Salvatore so soon."
"More like we can't underestimate William Stone," Carlos said, making everyone turn to him.
"Who?" they chorused.
"Seriously? You guys need to catch up," Carlos said, feeling a sense of superiority. "William Stone is Richard Stone’s son."
"He had a son?" Sebastian asked incredulously.
"Yes, he did. Richard kept him a secret. Turns out, Salvatore wasn’t as smart as he thought."
Carlos continued, "Salvatore tried to eliminate Richard to become Don. He might’ve even had lawyers change the will or create a fake one, making him the successor. But Richard was smarter. "He left a will and a recorded video, proving his son William is the rightful heir."
"The Scorpionos honored Richard's wishes," Carlos explained, "and welcomed William as their new Don, while Salvatore remains their Consigliere, unaware that he betrayed their boss."
"Crazy," Pablo said. "So, do you have William’s picture?" he asked. "We need to know what he looks like. You know? Know who we are up against."
"There are no photos of him," Carlos replied. "All I know is that his name is William Stone, and he just graduated college." That’s all I could get."
"And where did you get this from?" Matteo asked skeptically.
“I have my source,” Carlos answered proudly.
“You're still talking to Salvatore Deluca, aren't you?” Matteo asked.
“What do they say again? Keep your friends close and your enemies closer, right? And it was worth the information, wasn't it?”
"Good information, Carlos," D-Black said, nodding. "But for now, we focus on building our strength. When it’s time to act, I’ll say so."
"Yes, boss," they chorused.
“We'll be leaving for Cuba by tomorrow,” D-Black said, referring to Carlos, Eduardo, and himself. "Matteo, you're in charge. Take over the operations. The Double Axe Mob must remain strong."
"Yes, boss," Matteo replied.
"How long will you be gone, boss?" Pablo asked.
"As long as the treatment takes. I’ll be back soon. Do not do anything rash."
"Yes, boss," they echoed.

D-Black, accompanied by Carlos and Eduardo, stepped into the New Maria Medical Hospital. It was his last hope to treat the cancer that had disfigured him beyond recognition.
For a new hospital owned by a young man, Maria Medical Hospital exceeded D-Black’s expectations. It was filled with advanced technology, reflecting money and prestige.
A young nurse led them to the doctor’s office. "This is the Medical Director's office," she said in a tiny voice.
They entered a large office with a nameplate that read "Dr. Robins Tyla," where a very young-looking doctor sat.
"Welcome, please have a seat," Dr. Tyla greeted his new patient, who looked vaguely familiar.
"Thank you," they replied, sitting down.
"Amazing," D-Black muttered, drawing a curious glance from the doctor. "Aren’t you quite young to know this much about what you do?"
"I believe knowledge comes from determination, not age," the doctor replied.
"I see," D-Black said, nodding. "I requested personal treatment from you. Here’s the file I was given to fill out."
"Perfect," Dr. Tyla replied, collecting it. "Though I’ll need to confirm your diagnosis," he said. He pressed a button on his desk, summoning his secretary.
"Yes, sir?" Sandra answered promptly.
He instructed, "Please direct him to the scanning room." Sandra complied, leading D-Black to the scan room.
After a few hours, Dr. Tyla returned to the VIP area, where D-Black waited.
"Sir, your diagnosis is confirmed. You have a severe case of oropharyngeal cancer."
"I know," D-Black said.
"You tried radiation therapy, which caused the redness and swelling on your face," Dr. Tyla continued. "You're at the end stage of this disease, but not to worry—you came to the right place. You have the best chance of being healed here."
"I knew I made the right choice," D-Black said.
"Come early tomorrow with whatever you need to stay for a while. Your proper treatment starts then," Dr. Tyla instructed.
"That’s great," D-Black replied.
As they left the hospital, D-Black couldn’t shake the feeling that the young doctor resembled his late arch-enemy. He had learned yesterday that Richard Stone had a son, but the doctor’s name was different.
Meanwhile, William wondered why his new patient looked so familiar.
2018Clara“Well well, if it isn't the clumsy green eyed lady” his deep smooth voice teased, resonating something in me“Oh ummm… I am so sorry” I said looking at his beautifully chiseled face and those blue eyes of his that I never thought I'll see again “You always say that but why do I feel like you don't mean it” he said with that smirk that he so easily pulls on his face “What?” I asked with a confused look“Cause you always find a way to repeat it” he said with so much pride seeping through his voice “Are you seriously saying that I purposely bump into you?” I asked eager to bring down his pride.Every other girl at toppings might readily want to throw themselves at him but not me.. Ok?“Well that seems like the only explanation to this constant and similar way we meet”He said smiling now, he seems to be enjoying teasing me “Well…” I continued quickly looking for a come back“How would I know you would be coming straight at me like that” I said defensively getting a smirk f
2018Williams Standing in front of my colleagues to choose a project topic that I have already worked so hard on is giving me a sense of achievement. Something about this project just screams new discovery.I am definitely a step closer to discovering something that hasn't been discovered.Cancer as my project topic just falls in place as I have been studying a lot about it for the past years.“Please continue Mr. Robins” Mr. Steve our Project head stated“I'll love my project topic to be on cancers” I said gaining their full attention“I have slides prepared for those that wouldn't want to be left out on the day of my presentation.” I told the class to get applause from them. The bell rang indicating the class was over“Nice project topic Mr. Robins” Mr. Steve smiled, I returned the smile“I'll look at your slides and see what I can contribute to it”“I'll appreciate that Sir”“Amazing” he commented before leaving the class I decided to go home to conclude my 3rd week of research.
2018CLARA “Am I the only one who vividly remembers you saying ‘I wouldn't want to be caught up in the whole dating the popular guy thing?” Chloe teased, walking round my room like she is trying to understand me.It is 4:30 in the evening and from the way Chloe is dressed up she obviously have somewhere to be but no she rushed here as soon as she heard I would be meeting Robins tonight“Ok, what part of ‘This is not a date’ don't you understand?” I questioned, defensively as I applied my lipgloss I have no time to argue with Chloe, I barely have 30 minutes till he shows up and I haven't even decided what dress I would wear “The part where you have not decided on the dress you want to wear for almost an hour now”“Look, we just want to have a friendly discussion. That's all”“Sure Angie sure” she said sarcastically“If it's really a friendly discussion, you wouldn't put so much effort in what you are wearing” Chloe pointed out, making me to actually question my choice of clothing “
2018Williams I entered Raíz alongside Green Eyes, I noticed her hesitation probably because she wasn't expecting the fancy environment . I couldn't help but smile, as her expression of shock was endearing."It's okay, you're perfect," I assured her, and I meant it. Her purple dress beautifully brought out the color of her eyes, while her skin seemed to glow under the ambient lighting. Even the shy smile she offered in response to my compliment was captivating.I placed my hand on the small of her back as we made our way into the dining area. Upon approaching the host, he promptly inquired about my reservation. While a reservation wasn't necessary for me, I handed him my card, which revealed my status as a Stone. My father's influence in the region, primarily due to our business, has its perks."Right this way, sir," he said, leading us to a private corner table, away from prying eyes.I pulled out a chair for her, pushing her in as she gracefully took a seat. "Oh, why, thank you,"
Chapter 13: The Spy2023The Maria medical hospital was at its busiest. Its recent surge in fame has attracted patients from far and wide. The influx of patients filled the rooms, breathing new life into the hospital's corridors and generating funds for the advancement of their research. In just twenty minutes, an elderly woman was scheduled to undergo a complex surgical procedure. Her diagnosis had revealed an aggressive cancer, leaving her family distraught and desperate for a miracle."We've tried countless hospitals, but none have been able to help her," the woman's son explained, his voice tinged with despair. "Please, Doctor, you're our only hope. Please save my mother," he pleaded, his eyes locked on Dr. Robins."Please save Granny," the man's young daughter chimed in, her tiny voice trembling as she clutched a worn teddy bear to her chest."I'll do my best," Dr. Robins promised. He saw himself in the young man. A son that was just hoping for a miracle that'll keep his moth
2018Williams My father and I sat in the backseat as an associate mafia member drove us to our destination: the current location of Fabian. He was smart enough to change his residence, knowing we would come for him, but it wasn't hard to track him down again, especially since we have eyes and ears everywhere. We are the Scorpiono Mafia, and our reputation precedes us—the ease with which we silence those who cross us, and our strict code of leaving no stone unturned. Fabian should have known better before crossing us."Are you ready?" my father asked, looking at me with the same expression he had when I was younger and too scared to protect my family's name. Now, I know what's right."You trained me to always be ready. Why would I go against that?" I replied confidently."Good, because we're here," he said as the car slowed to a stop.We parked a short distance away from the location so as not to raise any alarms. My father tucked his gun into his pocket, while I concealed two guns
2018Clara This morning was a typical school morning, coffee at café Alma before I head to school and today I feel like I really needed it.There have been a lot on my mind; my project and other things so I just really wanted to clear my head with my favorite caffe mocha.“Here you go” Fred Said, with his ever bright smile presenting my coffee“Make that two cups of coffee” Chloe said, as she entered happily and came to sit across me“Oh hi Chloe” Fred greeted“Hi, you look good this morning Fred” Chloe commented“Thanks” he said beaming, as he left to bring another cup“Hey, girl," Chloe said with that familiar look she gets when she wants something. I just laughed in response."Hi, Chloe." I greeted."So, I'm going to be needing you to spill the tea, and I mean detailed this time," she insisted."Really, Chlo? I've told you everything that happened that night a gazillion times," I exclaimed, rolling my eyes playfully."Yeah, you're right," she said, laughing,"But I just can't ge
2018Williams It was the first time in a long while that I had attended one of these meetings.I could see how hard my dad was trying to involve me more in his mafia group, but I doubted it would work out. With a busy life, research to conduct, and a social life that had become more captivating, here I was, listening to how their fight went . It definitely wouldn't work out."You should have seen how we dealt with them. I'm sure they'll never mess with us again," Antonio boasted."I can assure you those guys will never come near our warehouse again," Marco chimed in, prompting laughter from the group."You can never be too sure," John cautioned calmly, as if recalling something from his past. "The Double Axe Mob always finds a way to come back, no matter how much we deal with them.""No, this time, it's for real," Antonio insisted, chuckling. "Those guys will be spending their years in the hospital."The laughter rose in a chorus, but my dad spoke up in agreement with John. "They've
