Seeing my dad stand in front of my room as I rush to round up dressing is not a usual sight.

“This weekend was supposed to be just for us,” he said as he finally stepped in and sat on my bed, watching me.

“Dad, you know I wanted this weekend for us too, but…. something quite important called,” I said, putting a final touch to my powder.

“Something more important than our father-daughter hangout?” He asked with a pitiful look.

"C'mon, dad,” I started calmly, applying my lipgloss.

“You always have somewhere to be when I need you, and now that I am busy for the first time, do you have a problem with it??”

I said, looking at him, and I could feel his guilt grow.

“I don't have a problem, honey. I just miss my little girl who begs me to play rock with her; now look at you wanting to spend time elsewhere.”

He said and we both laughed.

I put on my heels as I noticed my dad looking at me.

“What is it, Dad?” I asked, smiling a bit because I knew he was going to say something
