NADIA'S POV

"I’ll be ready, Nadia. You can count on me." Alisha said with a business tone.

As she walked away, her figure disappearing into the crowd, I couldn’t help but smile to myself.

The wheels were already in motion, and soon, Richard Garrison would find himself trapped in a web he couldn’t escape.

I knew Alisha is good with such games towards rich men.

Let the games begin, I thought, the thrill of the plan electrifying my senses.

The park had emptied out a little as the afternoon sun began to shine long shadows. I remained seated on the cold, metallic bench, watching as Alisha disappeared into the distance.

Her confident stride left no room for hesitation, and I hoped she’d bring that same energy to the task at hand.

Still, there was a faint doubt nagging at the back of my mind. Alisha had never taken on a mission like this before, and failure was not an option.

I shifted my focus back to the park, letting the laughter of children and the faint rustling of leaves fill the silence around me.

That was when I spotted him…Christopher, strolling in from the far end of the park. He wasn’t hard to recognize; his tall frame and casual swagger always gave him away.

He walked closer, his hands shoved into his coat pockets, his eyes scanning the surroundings. A faint smirk played on his lips as he finally reached me.

“Long time, no see, you look sexy.. I meant, I have missed your sweet cherry down there. When are we going to fuck again? ” he said, lowering himself onto the seat across from me. There was a small, wooden table between us, a spot we’d used many times for meetings like this.

“Back to business, Christopher,” I replied curtly.

I wasn't in the mood for his irrelevant talk and naughty even though we have both had sex before not once and not twice.

He let out a low chuckle, shaking his head. “You never change, do you? Always straight to the point.” he said as he noticed that I wasn't in the mood of all of this. By the way it was just sex and nothing attached to it.

Before I could respond, he pulled a cigarette from his pocket, lit it with a flick of his lighter, and took a long puff. The smoke swirled lazily in the air between us, mixing with the crisp afternoon breeze. I frowned at the smell, but I didn’t comment.

I reached into my bag and pulled out a photograph, laying it flat on the table. The image stared back at us, frozen in time. Without saying a word, I slid it toward him.

Christopher arched an eyebrow, picked up the photo, and studied it closely. His expression shifted almost immediately, his features tightening with recognition.

“Wait a minute,” he said, his voice low. He held the picture up to the light, squinting as if to confirm what he was seeing. “Isn’t this the Johnsons’ daughter?”

“Yes,” I said, keeping my tone even.

He let out a sharp whistle, leaning back in his seat as he placed the photo back on the table.

'' She's beautiful… I mean looks t her curves and smile and her facial beauty. '' He was starting to praise her beauty.

“Well, I’ll be damned. Nadia, you’ve outdone yourself this time. She’s… what, twenty- one now? Twenty-two?”

“No she's my age mate,” I corrected.

Christopher shook his head, a slow grin spreading across his face. “And you’re targeting her? What’s the plan? Blackmail? Extortion? Or something a little more creative this time?”

He already knew what I was good at.

I leaned forward, resting my elbows on the table. “That’s for me to know, Christopher. Your job is to follow instructions, not ask questions.”

He shrugged, taking another drag from his cigarette. “Fair enough. But I’ve got to say, this one’s going to be tricky. The Johnsons are practically royalty in this city. Touching their golden child? That’s a dangerous game, Nadia.”

“Since when have we ever played it safe?” I shot back, narrowing my eyes.

He laughed, the sound low and raspy. “Point taken. So, what’s the angle?”

Before I could answer, Christopher’s phone buzzed on the table. He glanced at the screen but ignored the call, his attention snapping back to me. “You’ve got my curiosity, Nadia. What makes this girl so special?”

“She’s not just special,” I said, my voice dropping slightly. “She’s a key. A key to something much bigger than you can imagine.”

Christopher leaned forward, resting his arms on the table. “Now you’ve really got me interested. Come on, don’t keep me in the dark. What’s the play here?”

I considered my words carefully. Christopher was good at what he did, but his curiosity often got the better of him. Still, he needed to know enough to do his part.

“She’s connected to something valuable. Something the Johnsons have been hiding for years. If we can get close to her, we can expose the truth. But it has to be done right…no mistakes, no loose ends.”

I lied to him not wanting him to know why I needed such plan to be done. When it comes to Christopher I cannot trust him with my secret on why I needed such help to bring down Tammie because he may sabotage me and one of the reasons I want him is because he is good with his job.

Christopher smirked, tapping ash from his cigarette onto the ground. “You’re being cryptic, as usual. But I’ll play along. What’s my role in all of this?”

“You’ll know when the time comes,” I said, standing up and grabbing the photo. “For now, just be ready. And keep your mouth shut.”

Christopher chuckled again, shaking his head. “You’re always so dramatic, Nadia. But fine. I’ll be ready when you call.”

As I turned to leave, a thought crossed my mind, one that made my chest tighten. This mission was bigger than anything we’d attempted before, and the stakes were higher than ever.

If Christopher or Alisha slipped up, it wouldn’t just be their necks on the line…it would be mine too.

NADIA'S POV.I smirked, setting the phone back down. Everything was moving like clockwork. Now, it was just a matter of waiting for the right moment to strike.I sat back down on the bed, crossing my legs as I allowed myself a moment of satisfaction. Alisha would do her part, whether willingly or not.And if she thought she could outsmart me, well, she’d soon find out just how wrong she was.For now, I had to keep playing the part of the calm, collected puppet master. But inside, the fire of ambition burned hotter than ever. This wasn’t just a plan…it was a masterpiece, and I was the artist. As I leaned back against the pillows, my mind wandered to the moment when everything would come together. The look of shock, of betrayal, of defeat…it would all be worth it.With a final glance at my phone, I closed my eyes, letting a sinister smile linger on my lips. "Eighteen hours," I whispered to myself. "And then it all begins."As I sat in the quiet of my room, my mind betrayed me, wandering

"What could you possibly be doing that’s more important than keeping me updated?"I clenched my jaw, taking a deep breath before responding. "I was in the middle of dinner with Richard. I couldn’t exactly answer your call in front of him, could I?"Nadia’s tone softened slightly, but her impatience was still evident. "Fine. But you need to tell me what’s going on. Have you heard anything new about the wedding?"I sighed, pinching the bridge of my nose. "No, Nadia. I haven’t heard anything else. And even if I had, do you really think I’d tell you in the middle of dinner?"There was a pause on the other end of the line, and I could almost hear her frustration. "You need to stay on top of this, Alisha," she said finally. "We can’t afford any mistakes.""I know," I replied, my voice clipped. "You don’t have to remin

I promise I won't cause any trouble or anything.I just thought…well, I’d really like to be there. But if you don’t want me to, I understand, and I won’t bring it up again."Richard stared at me for a moment, his expression unreadable. My heart pounded in my chest, though not from fear or nerves. This was the critical moment, the point where I’d see if he’d bend to my request. Finally, he sighed, leaning back in his chair. "Alisha," he said slowly, "why would you even want to come? RICHARD POV.What could possibly be holding her up?I leaned back in my chair, trying to push away the nagging feeling in my chest. She had been in an accident earlier today, after all.It wasn’t unreasonable to think she might need more time to get ready. Perhaps the pain from her injuries was slowing her down. But then another thought crept in, one I couldn’t shake. What if something’s wrong? The memory of the hospital flashed in my mind…her pale face, the nurses bustling around her, and the soft murmur of their voices as they instructed me on how to care for her.She needs rest and support, they had said. She’s lucky it wasn’t worse.Lucky. That word had stuck with me all day. She was lucky, wasn’t she? It could’ve been much worse. But now, sitting here, waiting for her, I couldn’t help but wonder if I was doing enough. Was she comfortable? Was she in pain? Had she even been able to bathe with the bandages on her arm?I sighed, running a hand through my hair. Maybe I should’ve stay

ALISHA'S POV.The knocking continued, sharp and insistent, pulling me out of my frantic thoughts. I froze, staring at the door, hoping that if I stayed silent long enough, whoever it was might just leave.“Alisha?” Richard’s voice came from the other side, firm and impatient. “Are you alright in there?”I quickly scrambled to pull myself together. “I’m fine!” I called out, my voice a little higher-pitched than I intended. I cleared my throat, trying to sound calmer. “I’m just… just getting dressed.”There was a pause, and I could feel his presence lingering just beyond the door. “Dinner is ready,” he said after a moment. “You should come downstairs and eat something.”“Alright,” I replied, forcing a lightness into my tone. “I’ll be there in a bit.”“I’ll wait for you downstairs,” he said, and I could hear the faint sound of his footsteps retreating down the hallway.I didn’t move until I was sure he was gone. But I wasn’t going to let her dictate my life.“I remember,” I said through clenched teeth. “But don’t forget, I’m the one in the mansion right now. I’m the one Richard trusts. So maybe you should ease up on the threats.”There was a pause on the other end, and I smirked, knowing I’d hit a nerve.“Just stick to the plan,” Nadia said finally, her voice cold. “Don’t get any ideas.”“Of course,” I lied smoothly. We ended the call, and I stared at the phone in my hand for a moment before shoving it back into its hiding place.Stick to the plan? That was quite the demonstration earlier. I have to admit, I didn’t expect you to eat the apple like that.”Max shrugged, his smile never faltering. “I’m fine. But without proof, without a clear understanding of what had just happened, my words would mean nothing.Kenneth would dismiss me, as he always did, and Max would walk away victorious once again.I glanced around the room, my eyes landing briefly on Nadia. MR JACOB POV.The door creaked shut behind Max as he walked away, leaving me standing at the restroom entrance, completely stunned. My mind raced as I stared at the spot where he had just been. I had seen the blood…there was no mistaking it.I looked down at the faint red smear on the floor near the threshold of the restroom. That was real. I wasn’t imagining things. The blood was fresh, unmistakable evidence that something had happened to him there. So how was he walking away, calm and composed, with that infuriating smirk on his face?“This doesn’t make sense,” I muttered under my breath. But go on, if it’ll make you feel better.”He exhaled, his gaze shifting briefly to the floor. “I met her a few days ago. It wasn’t planned. I... accidentally hit her with my car.”I blinked, taken aback for a moment. “You hit her with your car?”“Yes,” he said quickly. “It was an accident. She was crossing the street, and I didn’t see her in time. She’s been recovering, and I felt responsible. That’s why I brought her here…to keep an eye on her.”I stared at him, my expression carefully neutral. “So you hit a woman with your car, and now she’s your responsibility?”“She doesn’t have anyone else,” he said, his voice softer now. “I just...
