NADIA'S POV

The children's park was lively, filled with the cheerful screams of kids on swings and the occasional bark of a dog chasing after a ball.

I wasn’t here to enjoy the sunshine or the vibrant energy around me. My mission was clear, and I had no time to waste.

Walking toward the seats near the fountain, I spotted Alisha waiting, sunglasses perched on her head and her posture as casual as ever.

As I approached, her gaze turned toward me, and a knowing smirk crept across her face.

"Well, well," Alisha said as I took a seat beside her. "Nadia Slate, in a park of all places. What’s the mission this time around?"

I pulled a photo from my bag, sliding it across the table between us. The wind tugged at the edges of the picture before it settled face-up.

"Take a look," I said simply, leaning back in my chair.

Alisha picked up the photo, her eyes narrowing as she studied the man captured in it. Her expression shifted in an instant…her jaw dropped, and she let out a sharp gasp.

"Is this...?" Her voice trailed off before she leaned in, almost as if whispering to herself. "No way. This is Richard Garrison. The Richard Garrison?"

Yes…every common girl or ladies will want to be in position to bring down almighty Richard Garrison down because it will be an honor.

I smiled thinly, nodding. "The one and only. And guess what? He’s our target."

Alisha’s eyebrows shot up as she sat back, staring at me with disbelief. "Richard Garrison? The billionaire entrepreneur, media darling, and everybody’s golden boy? You want me to go after him?"

I could see the surprise in her eyes as she was so fucking happy to do the job willingly without getting payed from me as it is a pleasure.

"Not just ‘go after him,’" I corrected, my tone sharp. "I need you to seduce him. Make him fall for you. Completely. He has to trust you, Alisha."

I knew one special behavior about Richard is trust. Once Alisha can get enough trust from Richard then the mission here will be so easy to handle.

Just if only Alisha could play her game well and all my plans will fall into place without much stress.

Her surprise melted into excitement, and her lips curled into a wicked grin.

"Oh, I see where this is going. And I must say, I’d be more than pleased to make Richard Garrison one of my prey."

She laughed lightly, brushing her hair off her shoulder. "This is bold, Nadia. I like it."

I raised a hand, silencing her amusement. "Don’t get too comfortable. This is the first time you’re being assigned something this delicate. There is no room for error, Alisha. None."

Her playful demeanor faded, and she leaned forward, her voice steady. "You don’t need to worry about me, Nadia. I’ve handled all kinds of missions for you. This won’t be any different."

"Won’t be different?" I asked, my voice cold. "This is Richard Garrison we’re talking about. He isn’t like your previous conquests. One slip-up, and the media will be all over it. I can’t have you messing this up."

Alisha waved a hand dismissively. "Relax. I’ll do what needs to be done. Tell me how you want this to play out."

I pulled another sheet from my bag…a carefully drawn blueprint of my plan. Spreading it on the table, I tapped a specific point.

"You’re going to meet him in what seems like an ‘accidental’ situation," I explained. "A car accident, to be exact. Everything will be staged perfectly. Your vehicle will lightly rear-end his on the corner of 5th Avenue and West Street."

Alisha tilted her head, studying the diagram with interest. "An accident, huh? And he won’t suspect anything?"

"Not if you do your part right," I replied firmly. "You’ll play the innocent woman caught up in an unfortunate mishap. He’s chivalrous. He’ll stop to help, exchange details, maybe even try to reassure you. That’s your opening, Alisha."

Her grin widened as she nodded. "I like it. A damsel in distress. Classic. And after that?"

"After that," I continued, "you’ll work on gaining his trust. Slowly, but surely. The goal is to make him think you’re someone he can depend on. Someone who understands him."

"And then?" she asked, her eyes gleaming with curiosity.

"And then," I said, my voice low and deliberate, "we destroy him. We ruin his public image, his career, partnership and any fucking good thing about him.

Make him look like a liar to the media. By the time we’re done, his reputation will be in shambles, and we’ll have everything we need from him."

Alisha let out a soft whistle, leaning back in her chair. "You really don’t like him, do you?"

" It’s not about liking or disliking, I want a situation where by when Tammie, his friends and family start to accuse him, he will have no where or somebody to run to except for me. " I snapped.

"It’s about strategy. Richard Garrison is an obstacle, and obstacles need to be removed. You understand that, don’t you?"

I lied as I didn't want to tell her that I never wanted Richard to have his peace of mind with Tammie. When it comes to love…I don't know if I love Richard or I just wanted him for his wealth and familiarity to the media.

She nodded solemnly. "I do. And don’t worry…I won’t mess this up, Nadia."

I studied her for a moment, searching for any sign of doubt or hesitation. She seemed confident, but confidence alone wasn’t enough. This mission required precision and subtlety, qualities that Alisha sometimes lacked.

"Good," I said finally, standing up and gathering the papers. "You’ll hear from me tomorrow with the exact time and location for the accident. Be ready."

I had my plan already mapped out and no one…I mean no one will expect this to happen.

Alisha rose as well, adjusting her sunglasses and tossing her hair over her shoulder.

NADIA'S POV.I smirked, setting the phone back down. Everything was moving like clockwork. Now, it was just a matter of waiting for the right moment to strike.I sat back down on the bed, crossing my legs as I allowed myself a moment of satisfaction. Alisha would do her part, whether willingly or not.And if she thought she could outsmart me, well, she’d soon find out just how wrong she was.For now, I had to keep playing the part of the calm, collected puppet master. But inside, the fire of ambition burned hotter than ever. This wasn’t just a plan…it was a masterpiece, and I was the artist. As I leaned back against the pillows, my mind wandered to the moment when everything would come together. The look of shock, of betrayal, of defeat…it would all be worth it.With a final glance at my phone, I closed my eyes, letting a sinister smile linger on my lips. "Eighteen hours," I whispered to myself. "And then it all begins."As I sat in the quiet of my room, my mind betrayed me, wandering

"What could you possibly be doing that’s more important than keeping me updated?"I clenched my jaw, taking a deep breath before responding. "I was in the middle of dinner with Richard. I couldn’t exactly answer your call in front of him, could I?"Nadia’s tone softened slightly, but her impatience was still evident. "Fine. But you need to tell me what’s going on. Have you heard anything new about the wedding?"I sighed, pinching the bridge of my nose. "No, Nadia. I haven’t heard anything else. And even if I had, do you really think I’d tell you in the middle of dinner?"There was a pause on the other end of the line, and I could almost hear her frustration. "You need to stay on top of this, Alisha," she said finally. "We can’t afford any mistakes.""I know," I replied, my voice clipped. "You don’t have to remin

ALISHA'S POV.I hesitated again, lowering my gaze as though I was embarrassed. "I was just wondering..." I promise I won't cause any trouble or anything.I just thought…well, I’d really like to be there. But if you don’t want me to, I understand, and I won’t bring it up again."Richard stared at me for a moment, his expression unreadable. My heart pounded in my chest, though not from fear or nerves. This was the critical moment, the point where I’d see if he’d bend to my request. Finally, he sighed, leaning back in his chair. "Alisha," he said slowly, "why would you even want to come? It’s not exactly a public event."I smiled again, this time letting it tremble slightly. "I don’t know," I admitted, my voice barely above a whisper. RICHARD POV.What could possibly be holding her up?I leaned back in my chair, trying to push away the nagging feeling in my chest. Perhaps the pain from her injuries was slowing her down. But then another thought crept in, one I couldn’t shake. What if something’s wrong? The memory of the hospital flashed in my mind…her pale face, the nurses bustling around her, and the soft murmur of their voices as they instructed me on how to care for her.She needs rest and support, they had said. I cleared my throat, trying to sound calmer. “I’m just… just getting dressed.”There was a pause, and I could feel his presence lingering just beyond the door. “Dinner is ready,” he said after a moment. “You should come downstairs and eat something.”“Alright,” I replied, forcing a lightness into my tone. “I’ll be there in a bit.”“I’ll wait for you downstairs,” he said, and I could hear the faint sound of his footsteps retreating down the hallway.I didn’t move until I was sure he was gone. MR JACOB POV.The door creaked shut behind Max as he walked away, leaving me standing at the restroom entrance, completely stunned. My mind raced as I stared at the spot where he had just been. How could he possibly be fine? I had heard him coughing violently from inside. I had seen the blood…there was no mistaking it.I looked down at the faint red smear on the floor near the threshold of the restroom. That was real. I wasn’t imagining things. The blood was fresh, unmistakable evidence that something had happened to him there. So how was he walking away, calm and composed, with that infuriating smirk on his face?“This doesn’t make sense,” I muttered under my breath. I stepped into the restroom, my eyes scanning every corner. The sink was still wet, droplets of water clinging to its surface. The mirror above it was fogged slightly, likely from Max leaning in close as he tried to clean himself up.As I moved further in, my eyes landed on something on the edge of the counter. A tiny bo

But go on, if it’ll make you feel better.”He exhaled, his gaze shifting briefly to the floor. “I met her a few days ago. It wasn’t planned. I... accidentally hit her with my car.”I blinked, taken aback for a moment. “You hit her with your car?”“Yes,” he said quickly. “It was an accident. She was crossing the street, and I didn’t see her in time. She’s been recovering, and I felt responsible. That’s why I brought her here…to keep an eye on her.”I stared at him, my expression carefully neutral. “So you hit a woman with your car, and now she’s your responsibility?”“She doesn’t have anyone else,” he said, his voice softer now. “I just... I didn’t want you to get the wrong idea.”I let out a short, humorless laugh. “The wrong
