Chapter 24

*JORDYN’S POV*

The girls, on the other hand, seemed friendly and enthusiastic, but I couldn’t shake off the feeling that something was off.

As they led her out of the arena, I decided to follow them. I couldn’t trust anyone in the arena, and I knew that if they discovered she was wolfless, they’d pounce on her like vultures. I kept a safe distance, using my ability to mask my presence so they wouldn’t smell me.

As we ventured deeper into the woods, the atmosphere grew thick with tension. The girls’ laughter and chatter turned into sinister whispers, and their eyes gleamed with a vicious light. Brianne seemed oblivious to the danger, but I could sense her unease growing.

Suddenly, the girls stopped at a clearing, and their expressions transformed into snarls.

One of them lunged forward, while the other two grabbed Brianne’s arms.

My instinct screamed at me to intervene, but I remained still, watching and waiting.

The girl who lunged forward now had a cruel grin on her face.
