Alpha Dane

I still haven’t recovered from my dream or should I say vision, I can’t tell Red about it, he will only get more angry at me for the decision I took without his concept. Ericka is truly a beautiful lady and her beauty captivate both I and my wolf but my wolf also agree with me that we don’t want someone weak as my mate especially a human.

I should have chosen Mayna but we don’t like the way she has maltreated our mate and that was why I was harsh to her earlier. I look at the lady that was shivering before me “have I hurt you”

She shook her head “no, you haven't”

“Then, why are you shivering”

“I am sorry Alpha” she apologizes and I don't even know why because she hasn't offended me

“You know what, I don't care, just go away from here,” I told her

She hurried away making me feel helpless, why is the moon goddess heartless to give such a weak human but in my vision, she had said she was strong and she will help me out, I think she is mistaken or something because how can someone who can't defend herself stopped chaos.

“Alpha Dane, there you are, have been searching for you,” The alpha from earlier said walking toward me

“Why are you searching for me,” I asked wondering

“I came to congratulate you, my daughter told me you are her mate”

I looked at him confused because there is no way an alpha like him gave birth to a human “who is your daughter” I asked

“Mayna” he replied beaming with joy

“It seems there is some misunderstanding somewhere but your daughter is not my mate” I assured

The smile on his face crept away but I was unfazed “are you saying that my daughter doesn't worth being your mate” he asked

“I don't care what your daughter is worth” I was been rude but I don't give a dime and he should know who he is talking to likewise “she is not my mate”

“Don't be like that Alpha Dane” he touched my shoulder but when he saw the glare I was giving him, he removed them

“My daughter loves you and she is going to make a great Luna”

“She isn't my mate” I reminded him

“It's not necessary she should be if you understand what I mean”

“Are you suggesting I reject my mate just to be with your daughter” I fired

“You don't need to reject her, I know the gravity of rejecting your mate but you can keep her on one side” he answered with a devilish smile

“I don't want your daughter as my mate” there is no need to prolong this conversation

“You can think about it” he replied

Red came in saving me from this selfish Alpha, I am certain he wants his daughter to marry me because he knows how powerful I am “Alpha Dane, the rest of the Alpha is looking for you” he said looking in between me and the Alpha that I don't even know his name

“Okay, I will go see them now” I retorted

Red gave me a weird look but I ignored him, I entered the big hall where the other alphas are waiting, and I joined them, not long I saw Red walk in with the other alpha “that man seem determined, he said I should convince you to accept his daughter”

“His daughter is someone I can't spend a second with not to talk of getting married to her”

“Is she that worst,” he sneered

“Wait till you meet her” I shrugged

“That is what you get for rejecting your mate,” he said

“You found your mate?” Alpha Jaxon said

He is the proudest and most pompous alpha that I ever met, he has always taunted me about not finding my mate, and he is also my rivalry, I honestly don't know what I am doing here “I haven't” I answered back with a fake smile plastered on my face

“I knew I heard wrong, the moon goddess must have despised you not to have given you a mate” he mocked

“I am sure she has her reason” I replied venomously

He laughed and walked away, the most amazing scent hit my nostrils, and my wolf was restless, at last, my mate, I smiled but the smile died down when I saw it was that human again, is the moon goddess playing tricks on me do that I can accept her. NEVER.

She raised her head to look at me kind of like she had felt the pull which I know is impossible because she is human and I already rejected her, by the thought of my rejection, the look on her face changed as she now bow her head and walked away with the tray in her hand.

My heart shattered seeing the way she was maltreated, “my Alpha” I heard someone say rubbing my chest

I look at the person “Mayna” I remove her hand away angrily

“My mate, don't you think we should use this perfect opportunity to announce it to everyone” she brought her hand to my chest again

“You are not my mate” I spat drawing attention to us

I and Ericka's eyes met and I see the pain in her eyes as she was staring at something, I look to see that it was Mayna's hand on my chest, and I smack it away “I dare you to touch me again” I glared hard at her

She seems to receive my warning a she kept her hands to herself “I love you, Dane, why are you treating me this way”

“Because I can and you better stay away from me”

“Is it because of her” she bitterly spat

I look at the person she had pointed at and see her pointing at my mate, if I don't act first, she will kill her and I don't want that “why will you say such a thing”

“Because you have saved her twice and you kept staring at her”

“I saved her from you because you are making use of your position to punish an innocent person and I am not starting at her”

It took everything in me not to look at her again, even in her filthy clothes, she is still the most beautiful lady in this room “I want you to know that you are mine”

“I will advise you to stop being delusional because I will find my mate and I will forever pick her over you,” I said

“We shall see” she answered

“Is that a threat I sense in your voice” I growled

She quickly submits to me “I am sorry Alpha” she said and ran away.

I stood where I was, I gestured to tricks to bring me a drink, and I watched her walk toward me reluctantly making me smirk at the effects I have on her “do you need anything” she asked

“I will need a glass of strong wine,” I told her

She nodded and walked away quickly “is that your mate” Red asked

“How can you tell” I queried

“The way you look at her” he answered

“Am I that obvious?” I asked and he grinned

Ericka came back with my drink and I collected it from her and watched her from afar, a guy who seems to be my omega walked up to her, and he whispered something into her which caused her to giggle. Jealousy came upon me, I should be the only guy that should be that close to her and I should be the cause of that smile on her face, I was about going to strangle that guy when Alpha Dylan stopped me.

He is the only alpha I respected a lot, he put his pack first in everything and he is not like every other alpha that keeps his mistress, he remains loyal to his mate which was my sister. “Dylan”

“You did not tell me you were coming”

“It won't hurt to show face, that is why I am here” I replied

“You are right, this place is crowded”

“What do you expect, birds of same feathers flocks together” I answered as the both of us laughed

“I don't want to be here at first but your sister has managed to convince me”

“Knowing her, she does not want you to create enmity with the rest of the alphas”

“Yes and she will be happy to learn that you are also here”

“How is my little nephew,” I asked about their son

“He is fine and always asking of you”

“I will come and visit soon”

“I will let him know” he answered

I was getting bored where I am, I looked to where my mate was standing earlier but she was there, I search around with my eyes but she was nowhere to be found “are you looking for someone”

I quickly shook my head, I don't want people to know that with how powerful I was, I was mated to an ordinary weak human.

“Do you know alpha Robert Griffin has been telling everyone that you are mated to his daughter, is that true”

Do that his name “he wants to force his daughter on me” I replied

“Is she your mate?” he asked

“No” I answered

“Why is he now saying you guys are mate”

“That man and his family are psychopathic, he wants his daughter to be my Luna for whatever reasons he has in mind”

“Just be careful” he advised

“Of course And please don’t tell my sister about it, I don’t want her worried on something unnecessarily”

“Everything will be over in the next two days and we will all be back at our pack”

“You are right” if not I met my mate here, I would have leave

My mind drifted back to my mate, there is something I and my wolf is certain of, we will be leaving here together because I don’t want her to keep getting maltreated and so that I can watch her and keep every other guy away from her “ I still find it hard to believe you are here”

“I am my brother” I laughed but frown seeing my mate walk back in with the same guy.

Adam

It was time to go to bed, I cleaned my hand with the kitchen towel and that was when the most amazing scents hit me, I was happy because I know my mate was close by, it must be Ericka, I thought, I have been praying to the goddess to make her my mate. I dropped the towel and followed the scents.

I was heartbroken when I come face to face with the person, it wasn't Ericka, it was Mayna, the Alpha daughter. She looks up at me in bewildered and disgust, the realization must have hit it, she stood up from the counter, “this is unbelievable, how can someone like you, low life person be my mate” she roared

“Mayna,” I said but the slap I received shut me up

“You think you can disrespect me because you are my mate” she scoffed “I don't think so”

“But”

“I Mayna Griffin reject you, Adam Smith as my mate,” she said and at that moment, my wolf felt a sharp pain, my wolf has been dreaming of meeting his mate, and this was what he got.

“You can't do this to us” I cried out

“I just think, what was the moon goddess thinking to have paired me up with you, you disgust me,” she said not even caring about my feelings

“Is it because of Alpha Dane, he doesn't even see you” I have heard her father sharing rumors at the ballroom about her being mated to Dane”

“I owe someone like you no explanation, get away from me before my real mate start to get the wrong idea” she kicked me

The pain is nothing compared to what I am feeling inside “I won't remain an omega for the rest of my life” I reminded her

“Who is giving you hope” she mocked “you will remain an omega, my slave” she laughed and then walked away leaving me on the ground.
