Chapter 47
It was getting late but Wendy told Moe to stay and use the visitor’s room. To sleep for the night, because every noise outside would make Moe always nearly jump out of his skin in fright each time. And the evening news on the telly was not even helping either.
The news anchor-man said: “Although the GDTF: Which is the acronym for the Global Defence Task Force led by one Tony Freemont. And their handful of brave allies put up a good fight against the horde of invading blue demons. The game changer came when the first gigantic Godzilla-like creature emerged from the portal, followed almost soon after, by two of its smaller versions—”
Moe was sitting in the lounge staring with bulging eyes that were firmly glued to the flat screen television, while Wendy was in the kitchen preparing an early dinner. As it was already evening.
A circular wall of energy appeared to the left of Moe and a surprised M
Chapter 1 WILLY GOODWILL stood still, wearing a dark blue beanie and a worn out green jacket, listening to the night. Dogs barked at a distance. He had hoped that there would be no rain; He couldn't stand the rain, the wet cold nights: That could inevitably spell a long sleepless night for him, because all the best places were already taken by the other more established homeless people. He was relatively a new homeless man in the vicinity. He casually felt his broken nose, it was beginning to be caked with dried blood. He was just recently, earlier today, been in a fight with a bunch of the others, the low-lifers, the scums. He knew it would soon swell. He had, on the previous day stood staring at his own reflection at a shop window, wondering who he really was. He seemed to know a lot of things, but how did he get here and where did he come from? Did he have a family, a mom, a dad, or even brothers and s
Chapter 2 WILLY HAD BEEN a penniless, clueless, homeless man and now he wanted a change. He wanted out and into something superior and beyond. He was willing to try something new, he was sick of his life, he had no family. No one, except Wendy. He had no past, because he had no lingering memory of his past. He had no recollection, he was a clean slate, it was ironic! Wendy yes, she had been way too kind. But he hated being pitied, it made him feel weak and inferior. “Yes," Willy repeated again nodding firmly. With a finger snap, the Stranger’s hat and cigar were gone, replaced by a firm, grim smile The Stranger was pleased: “Good,” he said. “Your hand please, I need to take your particulars.” He pressed the point of a pen like instrument on Willy's right pointer finger, Willy felt the sting of needle pain, just like they do at the hospital. “There now your broken nose along with al
Chapter 3 FEARING THAT HE had hurt the voice’s feelings Willy added more calmly, “But, are you saying that you were speaking directly by thought to my head? Was I hearing you in my head — is that what you’re saying?” Willy asked still unable to shake off the feeling of bewilderment. ‘Correct!’ Andy finally spoke up. ‘I have always spoken by thought directly to you head.’ And just to clarify the former query Andy stated, ‘I am a formless entity, that’s why you will not see me — but you will only hear me in your head,' Andy added further, ‘Think of a question, any question — and this time don't speak out loud, just think the question in your head.’ “Wow! Okay,” Willy said out loud. At this state it was all too strange and unbelievable to Willy, but he decided to try anyway. He was ready to
Chapter 4 JACK SAVAGE CAME in with Nixon Rack. When Jack caught sight of Willy– he snarled, “You like what you received earlier?” Jack Savage was referring to the broken nose that Willy had previously. Willy was taken by surprise, Jack Savage was dark haired, with piercing dark eyes and he was grinning like the devil himself. Two against one — no, three against one as Tony the Thorn also entered from behind them. Thorn was the skinnier of the three, but a much more skilled fist fighter. Jack smiled wickedly: Jack Savage threw the first savage blow, His fist went harmlessly through Willy's body, because the phantom effect of that wrist device —the Enabler was on, Jack gasped — much surprised, eerily it was like punching a ghost! His hand had gone right through Willy and had came back to him when he pulled back. Using his mind quickly, Willy quickly thought that the phantom effect sh
Chapter 5 Willy opened his eyes: “Oh, it’s nothing I’m just imagining the heat of the sun, to help get this suit to dry up,” He said; and he found himself staring straight into Wendy’s beautiful, amazing and dreamy-hazel-eyes. She was a bit shorter than him. Wendy must have thought he was crazy. “Go on feel it, see if it’s still wet,” Willy encouraged her. She pinched the jacket’s fabric and gasped, “It’s dry!” and she added, “Where did that blue dust come from? on the fabric of your jacket?” Willy shrugged and said, “I don’t know.” Wendy said, “Here let me dust it off.” And she dusted it off. A group of young people passed by at that precise moment, one of them coughed and said out loud, “I think I’m gonna develop a flu.” “So, you’re Willy Goodwill,” Wendy said and she smiled at him. “And— you’re Wendy Rivers,” Willy echoed sentimentally, and he smiled
Chapter 6 SHE WAS LEAVING: Wendy was walking towards the crowded people. Willy stood there for a while and watched her go, she was as graceful as a deer; even in her non revealingly outfit that she was in, she was simply beautiful to watch. She was in those same outfit that she had worn in the morning. She was on her way home now. Willy loved the way she had tied her hair back in a relaxed fish tail behind her, it simply looked good on her. Not that Willy was a judge on hair styles, but everything that Wendy did seemed perfect him. Willy stood still watching till she was hidden from view. Than he went inside the cafe again; drank an iced tea and had a couple of cinnamon buns and he decided what his next move should be. . . . . . It was now past mid-day: Without any particular reason Willy thought about the conversation that he had a few weeks ago– he had that conversation wi
Chapter 7THERE WAS A LOUD BANG! There it came now – that was it. The bullet was coming — Moe was about to become history.A loud ricochet sounded!“Why don’t you two faggots pick on someone you own size!” suddenly—a totally different angry voice altogether barked just above Moe’s left ear.Moe opened his eyes in surprise, he was still alive! He felt the presence of that someone else standing near him — close, just behind his back, but: Moe cannot see him, he was invisible! But something else totally strange, was right in front of him —Right there in front of him, there was a bright transparent shield made out of pure energy, it was a force field! The two big men were standing there with their mouths gaping open in surprise. The ricocheting sound was the sound of the bullet that had deflected off on that force-field-shield.The tall
Chapter 8 THREE CHINESE MEN got near, they were all holding semi-automatic guns. One of them said something in Chinese, about a bright light that had previously illuminated that dim warehouse. But, now there was nothing there except the goods, and perhaps a few mice. . . . . . Willy stood there watching the 3 Chinese men looking frantically this way and that way. They were all yelling at each other in the rhythmic Chinese language. Of course they couldn’t see him. He had the invisible mode locked on just at the nick of time using the wrist Enabler. The trio gave up and left the same way that they had come, still communicating harshly with each other in Chinese. About 30 seconds later after the 3 Chinese dudes have left— Willy activated the phantom effect and went through the warehouse wall as if it weren’t there at all. “Man this sh*t is awesome,” Willy found himself saying in delight.
