STANLEY’S POV

Immediately I stepped down from the car and walked to the place where Petals was waiting for me with her friend, the friend suddenly made an expression that got me startled.

“Oh my God! Matthew! How come I am seeing you in person? This is fascinating” she screamed loudly as soon as she set her eyes on me, making me pause in surprise.

“Who? Are you talking to me?” I asked, pointing to my chest and she nodded happily

“I am sorry but you have got the wrong person” was my response but she shook her head that she was sure that she wasn’t wrong about what she was saying

Petals had to step into the awkward situation and cautioned her that I was not Matthew but Stanley.

“Tolu, what do you mean by Matthew? This is Stanley, he’s the one I told you about” she muttered to her but it was loud enough for me to hear.

“Oops! I must have made a mix up, he looked so much familiar with someone I know” Tolu finally stated and Petals apologized on her behalf

MONICA’S POVI was thoroughly disturbed about the feedback my secretary brought me about the people that I told her to contact and schedule a meeting with. I knew it would be an easy move but I was not expecting such a large percent to turn me down immediately.“I thought they said they were loyal to my mother, why are they refusing to help her daughter then? With everything I have done for them in the company to show that I am capable of carrying on her legacy, they still do not trust me enough?” I kept muttering to myself as I drove to the address Madam Antonio sent to me.I was glad that I accepted her lunch invitation, if not I would have been curled up in my office and getting depressed over the fact that what I wanted was not working. With those thoughts running through my mind, I pulled up in front of the cozy restaurant and was ushered immediately without even asking me any question about my identity.“The madam had given us the instruction to usher you inside immediately you

I didn’t have any choice but to lash at Irene when she kept questioning the reason why I had to go to the hospital.“Irene! Can you fcking go to the hospital?” I growled coldly and I could see her shudder at my actions.“Hey Petals, is something wrong? You rarely get worked up like this” she muttered, trying not to rile me up the more but I rather kept quiet than yell at her again so I just glued my eyes to the road instead. We all arrived at the hospital and I asked for one of the doctors that I was acquainted with. Thankfully, he was around and not busy so he attended to us without hesitation.“I don’t know why these spots keep getting many instead of disappearing. They told me that they were syringe marks that he obtained during the time he was sick at the hospital but they weren’t as many as this those times. I wonder why it keeps
