- "Inspector, you have already questioned me more times than the law allows, and you have never been able to prove that I am guilty. Do not abuse my good will in receiving you."

There was a knock on the door, and not even the constant sound was enough to make Ethan look away from Spencer. Normally, he didn't mind these visits, which happened at least three times a year. Every time the inspector thought he had found new evidence, he would open a new investigation and seek out Ethan for further questioning. The results were always the same.
